So alot of people here are annoyed that Rey is such an obvious Mary Sue.
I have an alternate explanation for why she learns things so quickly and is so competent fighting a fairly well trained Sith.
She's turning into a Sith herself, and the trilogy will show Reys fall to the Dark side be mirrored by Kylo feeling remorse and redemption for killing his father.
Consider that Rey lives alone motivated by pain and loneliness, that her awakening came from rage at being mentally violated and then forcefully turning it back against Kylo. That she's fighting at of pure rage at losing her father figure and being abandoned by her true father.
Sith =/= Dark Side

Ingloqious Basterds was a horrible movie because all the ads led you to believe it was actually about the Basterds instead of about some boring bitch who fucks a black guy in a theatre or whatever. Movie was awful.
Django was shit and Kill Bill is unwatchable once you become an adult, so the last good movie he made was Jackie Brown (which people shit on for no reason, it's actually great).
That said, I find it highly unlikely that a straight-forward Western (even set in the snow) could be any worse than Inglorious Basterds, which was a complete and total waste of time and celluloid.

I have a theory about Rey. Right now all signs point towards Rey being Luke's kid, or at least somehow connected to the Skywalker blood. However, I believe this is a red herring by JJ. Her real father is Darth Plagueis, who is calling himself Supreme Leader Snoke now.
Basically Plagueis came back weakened after Sheev shanked him and went into hiding. After the Emperor was killed Plagueis dicided it's time to make his move. He realized the flaws of the Rule of Two and the Sith and formed a new dark side cult called the Knights of Ren. His next move was to find a new apprentice/servant. He needed someone both more powerful and more loyal than Sidious and decided to create his own perfect apprentice. So Rey was born. Luke, now older and more experienced, got wind of this and snatched Rey from Plagueis' clutches while she was still a child. He knew that as she was a creation of the dark side she was extremely, but he couldn't bring himself to kill her, so he mind wiped her and left her on backwater planet where Plagueis couldn't find her. In retaliation Plagueis corrupted Kylo and turned him against Luke.
This explains why Rey is so gifted without being yet another Skywalker, it explains why Luke left her on Jakku, the dark voices she was hearing as she was curbing Kylo, and will give her a much needed internal struggle in the sequels. And for maximum poetry it lets Plagueis hit her with a "I am your father" in VIII.
