so why did people find it funny when he took off the mask?
I think he looked rather daunting and cool t b h
His real face was kinda creepy in that private school sociopath, please don't shoot up the school kinda way. But the reveal should've been made after he killed his dad.
>>64092420
Because he's ugly
>>64092612
With the hair covering his massive wing-like ears, he's actually decent looking. I think it's obvious he was cast for the nose though.
Visceral as fuck.
Tom Hardy gives a phenomenal performance.
>squirrel god
Movie is a metaphor for Leo trying to get his Oscar.
>that last shot of him breaking the 4th wall, pleading the Academy to finally give him a statue
Poor Leo
Bear fight is the best special effect feat I've seen since Terminator 2. Last showdown also has choreographic perfection. You might call Revenant visceral, but I'd rather it'd be called organic, because the clear emphasis is on how everything flows, about patterns of movement in nature, be it blood or mist. When Hardy's character blows his pipe overlooking a river, when camera lens catches a Sun's flare or gets hazy from exhalation, when the earth stirs, fire cracks, snow melts or wave twirls, the rhythm is impeccable.
I thought it would be far more visceral than it actually was. It was never really suspenseful, just dark.
Why didn't you tell me this show was this hood, /tv/?
Just one more thing. What else have you been hiding?
>>64092092
>Hood
HOL UP
the scripts are full retard. almost all the murderers could get away easily if they just shut the fuck up and stop runing around.
One of the greatesf ever shows.
Why are there so many articles online stating that Poe Dameron is gay? There isn't even evidence given in the movie.
I guess they have to, since Luke was in an incestuous relationship
SMELLY
DUMB
FUJOSHI
SCUM
Insecure americans calling anything ressembling broship between two males gay
Thanks for making the Storm Troopers Nazis JJ you fucking asshole.
The Empire was an Ambiguously Evil Totalitarian state, but now, with this big red flag and screaming idiot General Hux, it's not a soulless machine people get drafted into, but a Nazi Cult.
Now there is less humanity or likability for the Storm Troopers and Sith (like there was for Darth Vader)
Another bad mark for TFA, and coincidentally JJ is a Jew
self-pitying over the top bullshit
we can let the Nazi meme die now
The empire was always INSPIRED by Nazi imagery, but now it's just so over the top nazi-fetishism with the "sieg heil but with a fist" and the nuremberg rally shit
I agree with your sentiment, but m8, m8, seriously? They infantry are called fucking stormtroopers. All of the Empire's land vehicles are the same color and have the same blocky, angular shapes as German armor of WWII, the TIE shriek is ripped directly from the Stuka's.
It was always very, very clear which totalitarian state George was using as his model for the empire. I think in this movie it just goes from 'obvious' to 'HEY GOYIM, IF YOUSE DIDN'T KNOW THESE GUYS ARE NAZIS AND ARE GONNA START ANUDDAH SHOAH'.
Was Hardhome a meme episode or was it actually good?
Also what the fuck is up with the Lord Commander?
>literally saw a white walker raise his arms up and resurrecting tens thousand corpse
>didnt bother to tell it to anyone except sam when numerous brothers could literally backhim up as a first hand witness
>>64084942
>a meme episode
Go for a walk, you sad fuck.
>>64084942
It was one of a few actually good GOT episodes tbvh. Compelling stuff actually happened.
It was one of the few good episodes of last season. Can we have /got/ back for Christmas?
>Quentin Tarantino pries open American ugliness in The Hateful Eight. His Civil War/Agatha Christie/John Ford omnibus western uses racial epithets with unbounded insensitivity. The film’s macro-aggressions surpass anything in movie history (outcussing even QT’s own vulgar Django Unchained). In a too-hip-for-the-room way, The Hateful Eight vents the bottled-up venom that is the reality behind political correctness. Not a happy thing.
>As always, QT is concerned only with expressing his antisocial impulse. The Hateful...

>The Hateful Eight is not a national microcosm such as John Ford explored in the 1939 Stagecoach, where the classes and sexes clashed. (William Inge’s 1956 Bus Stop used the same premise.) Tarantino has no interest in American political or psychological history. His stand-in, SamJack, serves the same function here as when playing the pimp-emcee of Spike Lee’s cultural burlesque Chi-Raq. Like Lee, Tarantino is basically unserious; both filmmakers show antipathy to human suffering, evoking past or current experience simply to display personal impudence....

>No wonder QT launched his publicity campaign for The Hateful Eight by taking an unprecedented position favoring the current anti-police protests. This dubious act of “solidarity” with the Black Lives Matter crusade showed how truly out of touch Tarantino is with African-American lives. His films demonstrate that he relates to black culture only through fanboy fantasy. Despite his specious protesting, The Hateful Eight accepts racial hostility as endemic to American culture. That’s why, having relished Shaft, Hammer, and Slaughter and been aroused...

>The Hateful Eight indulges the most heinous racist fantasies, climaxing in SamJack’s parody of Abraham Lincoln’s largesse, plus a flashback of black phallic domination addressed to Dern’s Confederate general. This scene’s pretense of emasculating two generations of white manliness is a private joke derived from blaxploitation’s get-whitey convention. But it seems that Tarantino himself has probably not quite figured it out. So, instead of writing characters with emotional complexity, he mangles narrative structure while twisting the American...

>average american home
where are the bullet holes
He obviously needed to be rich as fuck so the house would be big enough to have enough room for chase sequences and his traps not to mention all the shit he needed.
Honestly feel the same way about The Brady Brunch. That's almost some class warfare shit right there.
this was actually quite decent. what did you guys think?
>>64097560
Better than the 1982 version, especially thanks to the well written female characters and beautiful CGI.
Said no one ever.
I liked it. Elizabeth was gorgeous in it.
>>64097782
can I like both remakes?
Didn't Civil War in the comics involve a lot more Marvel characters than this and go on for way longer than one movie can possibly handle?
>>64096551
Litteraly brings almost all the most popular good guys in the war. Like 20 vs 20 and not 4vs4 like the movie...And the fantastic 4 are a huge part of the war but nope nothing...
>>64096551
Yeah, but funding and time constraints...
>>64096662
And some villains
Remember when spider man was raped by like 5 dudes in a sewer and gets saved by the punisher?
>There are people on this board right now who haven't seen Citizen Kane
>>64096511
sorry, watching it right now.
>>64096511
It's not even that great.
I don't pretend to see it desu. Sorry, anon.
This is one of the most haunting stills from The Sopranos. It's an expression of meaningless/emptiness of the Christmas sentiment and hollow connection between a family who really should be much closer. The only line mustered is one from a stranger, who could only compliment the furniture, the lavish objects that these characters have sacrificed their soul to attain, the materialism that has swallowed up their humanity. All that's left is toxicity pervading their daily lives, all goodness is corrupted and gone.
Any thoughts?
I thought this was /tv/'s favourite show?
ANON COULD YOU PLEASE DELETE THIS THREEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAAD
>Inside Out Review

Not even edgey, just right
Fuck off, Adam.
Just saw the force awakens and Ive been avoiding /tv/ until I saw it. So Im sorry if this conversations already been done to death. How the fuck was Rey able to use the force as well as she did without being trained. Like she was just able to do the mind trick and pull a lightsaber without any training. This was the only thing that really bothered me about the movie.
>How the fuck was Rey able to use the force as well as she did without being trained
>without being trained
you don't know that, it'll be explained in the next movie
>>64096461
But she wasnt trained? She had that whole thing about "Oh the jedi are real?"
It wasnt explained in the movie explicitly, but there are some possibilities.
1) she was trained as a child, but her memory was wiped and shes started piecing it back together
2) ren tells snoke that rey is actually quite strong, and she may just have a knack for picking things up quickly
3) in the interrogation scene with ren, its obvious rey is able to read rens mind, and i think she absorbed some of his knowledge of the force, or at least what was possible for her to do
ITT: unpopular opinions
Kylo Ren is the character Darth Vader should have been.
