Why did this movie not feel like starwars?
Was it the camera directions? Was it the atmosphere? Was it the pacing? The designs look like they are star wars but theres something about watching the movie that made it feel like I was watching something else with the star wars title.
Every second there was some action scene and every battle scene felt like it was all the same, there was no build up to the final battle scene which should be the most insane. There were hardly any moments for characters to talk and develop before some crazy thing happens.
Was it from the camera angles they used? Was that part of the problem? Was it the humor they put into the movie that made it feel more comedic then some soap opera?

There's definitely a shift in the style of humor in S7-S9, more slapstick stuff, characters become more exaggerated and one-note versions of themselves etc
it changed into friends kind a humour in season 7. even the camera work is different

these movies are simply beautiful, such a shame that the modern cinema-viewer can't appreciate such fine works of art but rather expects the same formulaic story all over again.

I really feel for this kid. Born into slavery, given hopes of one day leaving the planet from probably the best mother to have ever existed, he get whisked away during a time of war.
His entire Fucking world is turned upside down and he has several groups trying to manipulate him to do their bidding. That will fuck anybody up, especially since it starts happening from day 1 of his Jedi training. At age 9. A 9 year old kid becomes a war hero on accident because he wants to do the right thing.
That's literally all this guy wanted to do. The right thing. And when you have 2 very powerful sources pulling your strings in completely different directions, you will get confused easily. Has actually a good character. Starts off innocent, and gets fucke d up by the powers that be.
