Blade Runner is visually similar but is also not set in Japan.

Well it started badly, tailed off a little in the middle, and the less said about the end the better - but apart from that it was excellent.
Good Lord is this a mess. Script is mostly nonsense and full of holes. You don't even need Emily Blunt's character and her role in this is pandering besides. I get how this got made but the fact that it's being so highly regarded is baffling to me.

No and no. It's crap and it's pandering. I don't believe Blunt is there but to be an independent strong woman with a minority sidekick. We spend time on her eyebrows and dating problems and watch her make dumb emotional mistakes over and over. Meanwhile I'm supposed to believe she's team leader and can handle all that tactical gear and weapon recoil with her body size and that the CIA would actively choose her in that manner in the first place. The whole premise is ludicrous if you break it down for even one minute.
