>Zack Snyder dares to infuse the comic-book genre with moral and political substance. Fanboys do not own the franchises of Batman and Superman movies, so director Zack Snyder went against the mob and dared to raise the genre to a level of adult sophistication in 2013’s Man of Steel, the most emotionally powerful superhero movie ever made. (Fanboys hated it.) Snyder’s sequel, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice adds politics, bringing to the fantasy some contemporary, real-world concerns. This is not conventional comic-book allegory; rather, Snyder uses the figures of Batman (Ben Affleck) and Superman (Henry Cavill) walloping each other to give visible substance to social and moral issues, much as Greek tragedy does. He takes the wildest, Bizarro World fiction — of two superheroes turned super foes — and uses the premise to explicate our current dilemmas concerning power, principles, and divinity.
>It helps that Snyder is also visionary, inclined to extravagant spectacle and gifted with a signature erotic touch. An early montage equates violence, wealth, loss, and grief through symbolic images of bullets, pearls, blood, and tears. It is witnessed by the young Bruce Wayne, a paranoid orphaned millionaire who misconstrues Superman’s involvement in the previous film’s battle that devastated Metropolis (and traumatized nearby Gotham City), and so he vows a vigilante’s revenge. With its legal-brief title, Batman v Superman reflects the confusion that pits secularists against believers, and the partisanship that inhibits national alliance. This tension is so visually amped up that the opposition of Batman to Superman feels revelatory: Man versus the god in Man.
Why is he the only critic with good taste? What happened in White's life that made him free from bad taste?

Ramsay kills Roose. The guy that was burned while on the big X we see in the trailer.
Ramsay is now the warden of the North and is going to march on the wall to get Jon.
Theory. White Walkers cross the wall crushing Ramsay as the season finale.

this was actually painful to watch.
I actually felt bad for Affleck here, jesus. You know it's bad when Fallon can't even pretend to like your movie, instead he focuses on how epic the crowds were.
God damn...
I can't really feel sorry for a millionaire but damn he looks broken, like he's just barely able to hide his crippling depression. The divorce really fucked him up

I don't think his emotional state is that bad.
Actors are good at hiding their true self

What kind of changes would a modern film director make to a LOTR reboot to make it more progressive and contemporary?
>>67422620
Bit of cultural diversity in actors, and genders. Wouldn't hurt. Could still be equally as good.
Unfortunately the movie would pick up a lot of other modern film traits, which would absolutely butcher it.

pLEASE mods I'm tired of all these capeshit threads REEEEEEEEEEE
There is literally nothing wrong with Batman killing henchmen. Harden up, Marvel softcocks.
What do you guys think? Will it end on a cliffhanger like we expect the retarded showrunners to end it? Also, glad to see based Steven Ogg.

Yes
no one over 12 gives a shit about comics
He literally fires a gun and kills a guy near the end of the movie. There's no fucking gray area. He pulled the trigger, which ignited the tank that blew up the guy and fried his buddy.

Thank you Disney, for finally killing the franchise
Too bad tumblr and facebook idiots will keep it alive for 100 more years

You're so right
Just saw it in 75mm IMAX™
Personally i think critics have gone fuckin insane. If you are not a redditor who watch movies based on reddit tomatoes score and have a fucking brain you would know critics are absolutely biased as fuck.
Good/Great parts of the movie
>Opening scene with the beautiful music
Its another opening credits masterpiece by Snyder. Also dont fall for the kid Wayne rising up with the bats like jesus, in context it happens in a dream and it was one of most comicbook Batman as fuck moments
>cinematography and colors
>Batcave/ Alfred
It was top tier
>Ben Affleck
To me the best Batman ever
>Wonder Woman/ Gal Gadot
She not being horrible is a plus so i would add it to the good list
>Batman v Superman TDKR fight
Best part of the movie, the ending of the fight was emotional and not some kinda ex machina stopping the fight out of nowhere
>Superman scenes
These were generally good but not great
>Final fight
Better than any other capeshit but still had some problems like too much explosions
Bad parts
>editing
Basically what sunk the movie
>soundtrack
It was just fucking too loud at some places but still Batman theme and the WW theme were really good at certain scenes
>Lois Lane/Amy Adams
Just old and looked misfit for the role.
>Lex Luthor
I used to be neutral about this casting. I dont hate it but he couldve been better. I understand why he was goofy, from directors pov if he was serious too amidst already serious trinity then the movie wouldve turned worse.
>Doomsday
All they had to do was copy the Doomsday from the comic books. Also the worst part was the unnecessary electrical explosions
>killing Superman twice
There are million other ways they couldve ended the movie
Overrall review would be the first half was dragging and too many unnecessary scenes and the obvious editing/pacing issues but the capekino it redeems itself in climax. Man of Steel is still better than this movie.
7.5/10
worst part was jesse eisenberg's goofy lex luthor.
I agree with this post.
But I certainly think Ben af fleck is not the best batman and Jesse esienberg was a little goofy and dingy.
Some scenes had way too much music.
I want based Christian bale back.
>>67418003
>goofy Lex
Like I said if he was serious then movie would've been even worse. But he could've not been an awkward edgy faggot with weak motives.
