>it's doesn't bother with a romantic subplot to attract a female audience and is just a straight action movie
Why don't more movies do this? What are some like this?

>it will never ever get a sequel
Everything is so shit.

because we pirate movies, and girls pay money at the theaters.

didn't they take most of their talent right after UP?
>>70775163
Pixar has gone to shit.
John Las moved from Pixar to go run Disney and he took Pixars best people with him. They went to go make Wreck it Ralph, Zootopia, Frozen and now this.
Pixar is stuck making shitty sequels
You're probably confusing animation with visual effects, as most people who make this statement do.
Who will play him in the inevitable biopic?
you'd think that would have happened by now... if it was INEVITABLE.
Le Chuck Norris XD
jlaw playing idris elba playing rick astley
Should Eilis have stayed in Ireland? Do you agree with her going back to New York?
she was already married so yes
I have this film in my backlog. Is the dilemma potatofu faces legit or the usual pseudo-drama women create in their lives?
>it's a movie about a woman who experiences loneliness, loyalty, and mental conflictions
Did he do it?
Cuba Gooding Jr? No.
>>70774656
Cuba was a terrible choice.
The show had too much sjw bullshit
And to many pointless references to the kardashian whores.
>it's a Cuba Gooding Jr. plays a famous black guy episode

Exceptional film with an even more exceptional soundtrack. The mountains scene is one of the most epic scenes in film history.

>Industry estimates released on Sunday show that horror movie "The Conjuring 2" directed by James Wan topped the box office in its debut, breaking a run of underperforming big budget sequels.

But its not bombing or being called complete trash
YES! god tier horror movie and fuck you if you say you didn't get scared.
>>70774053
My girlfriend started to cry and get choked in some part of the movie, that scared me the most.
Also the name of the demon is shown in other part of the movie.
It didn't scare me at all. I saw it in a theater in Harlem and people were just yelling and throwing popcorn at the screen the whole time. 10/10 Funny as hell.
>>70774053
Best part was the opening. I liked the jump cuts of blood splatter and seeing the man's shadow and reflection over Lorraine Warren.
Full disclosure, I'm a dude. Alright? So if anything I say offends the ladies in the audience, or even the men in the audience I apologize you need to grow a thicker skin. I don't consider myself a Feminist or an SJW or a MRA or any -ist or acronym. But I do want to see more female led geek movies. If only for the sake of variety in my entertainment.
Anyways, with all the controversy surrounding the Ghostbusters Reboot, with the harsh opinions and strong words on both side of the aisle. With people saying it's a 'political act' to go see the movie....

It's failing specifically because of brand recognition, the fallout is entirely focused around "why?" with direct comparisons being drawn to what is an irrevocable classic.
It has every appearance of a glossy, insipid cash grab, and that at heart is why it's being raked through the coals.
That being said, the internet is of course being the internet and making it into so much more than that. Throwing in gender politics, name calling, and generally saying very nasty things. Which...

What does /tv/ think about this one?
I haven't seen it but I'm very curious
Not bad. I saw it on cable once.
I think Robin Williams did it just so he would stop being typecast.

It's way more ambitious than it has any right to be. It started off as a really simple concept and went off the rails into something I don't think anybody could have expected. They've built a pretty impressive world around this with lots of characters and an interesting lore. The Oscar Special has become like my Superbowl or Wrestlemania or something. I look forward to it all year.
Tim's character is probably one of my favorite villains of all time. Gregg's soft-spoken and gentle personality...

What the fuck is this shit
Is he a big guy /tv/?
My favorite part is that the A to Z Mart cup follows him through the whole thing, to remind the audience that fucking Kevin Smith directed this.
