Setting up a base of operations on the city's edge is easy enough, but if Frostgrave is truly that massive what about treks lasting multiple days? You could use Pack Mule henchmen to carry "1-Day's Supplies" to extend expeditions, and a random encounter table for setting up a mobile camp. Of course, the city could get stranger and more dangerous deeper in, so creature encounters increase the further one travels in, but obviously the risk comes with greater rewards.

My biggest rule mistake that I can think of is my misuse of twin spell. Apparently you can't target the same person with two casts of firebolt or any other single target spell with the twin spell metamagic. I feel dumb for misreading it for so long.

I had a DM who is much more used to 3.5 than 5e, who had, in one turn, an NPC cleric cast Animate Dead from a hidden location on a dragon just slain by the party. When it was pointed out that Animate Dead has a range of 10 feet and takes a minute to cast and can't target dragon corpses, the response was, "It's OK, he has a gem." Which is such a non-sequitur I'm thinking of using it in my own games.

Are there any germanspeakers in here? Me and my group are close to the end of Rise of Tiamat and planning on running OotA next. One of our players just left because of having not enough time so we are looking for a replacement. We normally play on Sundays between 7 and 10pm Berlin time.

So, Seven Omens Shot lists a special interactoin with Accuracy Without Distance, but I'm not entirely sure how to parse 'can shorten the action by a single round, but may only add a single non Charm success for each round shortened'.

Can I invoke AWD multiple times? The fact that Dust and Ash Sleight exists suggests not, but why else would it say 'for each round shortened'? Also, that phrasing seems to suggest that if you shorten it more you get to add back in more of the forfeited bonus?
