After that, we made a lot of fetch quest and basically tried to make our way in the higher rank of the order while doing the least amount of actual work possible. We lied, bullied, stole, traded favors and sometime busted heads in the name of the Scarlet Flame.
In the beginning, the mage wondered if Ardeshir was really a paladin, but he managed to convince him that everything they did was for the Greater Good. They always had the best food, were never sent anywhere dangerous...

>A druid that instead of killing his enemies, permanently transforms them to harmless animals.
Would that be good or evil /tg/ ? Keep in mind i'm not talking about your average bandit, but things like demons, necromancers etc.
>A wizard that instead of killing his enemies, permanently mind controls them to harmless citizens
Good or evil, it's always a massive dick move.
>>47797078
>A druid that instead of killing his enemies, permanently transforms them into trees. They maintain concious thought, though.
Evil? I'm thinking evil.
>>47797078
Depends on who their enemies are.
Your current PC finds himself before Khârn the Betrayer! How well do they fare?
>>47791519
It'd probably end horribly on my PC's part. I'm unaware of how Khornates would view religious magic (4e Cleric) and if they'd just round it up as being psyker abilities in the first place.
I really don't think it'd go well when Kharn gets auto-hit with 87 HP worth of wounds.
My dude has no blood or combat abilities. Kharn ignores it complely.
I'm playing a battle clown. Are you ready for FUN!
is this the warham movie we never got?
>>47772029
No. Its a Warcraft movie.
Its literally the title of the film.
Come on, anon. Get it together.
no, it's the warcraft movie we always asked for done in the way we never wanted
So, opinions about the movie? The orcs are too big and cartoony in the trailers to take them seriously.
Because the other thread is expired, and I want to hear more about Naval games.
Has anyone here played Victory at Sea? I'd like to know how it plays, how long it takes, what sort of money I need to invest into it to get a good play experience, that sort of thing.
Or stories about battleships smashing other ships with cannons and fire!
>>47764063
It's a little like battlefleet gothic but with real units, and not in space.
Only uses D6, record keeping for ships is minimal. Game plays using an alternating turn, so I move my ship, you move your ship, until all units have been moved. Then we shoot at each other, same way.
Big games can take about three hours, average game time is about 1.5 hours if you know what you are doing. 45 minutes for small skirmishes with cruisers.
Balance is kind of achieved using the Priority system. It works...

Pocket Battleships for the win! Diesel powered, great range, great speed, amazing firepower for their size.
I use one or two of them in my fleet of cruisers, as a hard hitting core element. Enemy cruisers have a tough time dealing with them. Shattered Myoko cruisers using them.

OP, Victory at Sea is a good starting point, I like that it models the armour piercing effect of plunging fire.

Why?
When asking about build advice, remember to be sure to mention whether or not third party material (3pp) is allowed!

Anyone have a clue if Invulnerable Rager's Damage Reduction stops the feedback from the Vicious weapon enchantment?

Second for elsbeth
Also can someone post the page of bloodline mutations from magic tactics toolbox?
>>47801949
You have Weapon Finesse and a weapon that you can Finesse and have Weapon Training for, but that doesn't get dex to damage.
So rapier with weapon training 2. You finesse it and add your dex to hit, but you can increase your +2 to damage from weapon training to +4.
You can never win with this game, I swear.
Your choices are:
>Standard
You spend around $200-$500 on a deck that rotates in about a year, and depending on how reliant your deck was on that rotating set, you might have to buy a whole new deck and repeat the cycle.
>Modern
Drop about $1000-$2000 on a deck that doesn't rotate, but since Wizards wants "muh diversity" in the format, your deck's central engine could be hit with the banhammer and now you either pick up the pieces...

Hey /tg/ I'm pretty new to DMing and am starting a new campaign where the key role is to explore a new continent never before seen by civilized people.
I want to be able to install the feeling of wonder as players traverse new areas. How do you guys do this in your campaigns?
Also posting some interesting landscape pictures to hopefully get some attention
>>47782207
For that kind of feeling, I feel mystery is an important factor. Include some kind of grand mystery that is everywhere they look. It will drive them to discover the source of the mystery, and will do more to create a sense of wonder than description of strange creatures ever will.
Having creatures/plants/etc that are just alien in appearance/culture/etc doesn't go as far as you think it would, because it is already a fantasy RPG. Though it can help.
