To tell you the truth it's pretty terrible. It's sad to see new players get crushed by neckbeards that spend all their money on this game. It's sad to see kids have to leave because of our loud, toilet mouth customers, and the smell in the rooms during FNM. DEAR GOD THE SMELL.

Last time on STANQ; played with kids including ranlis' kid, athena and ranlis meet, adriana's snitching along with randall and co spying equal too much evidence to not put you away and you agree to a trail in two weeks that day after your birthday in order to be the only person you know arrested and tried for a time of 5 years with good behavior as it would be a good time for the lady in the stone to educate you, you choose the new ruler of swagooine in the rigged election as KJ, he takes it well, al takes it fine enough, find out peter was missing as he got stuck in the stone and is traumatised, gazza is forced into the stone as punishment, fall asleep spooning al and wake up with adri spooning you thanks to sheulk who in turn is spooning adri, fix your problems with Vi by promising fun, teach adri about new sensations and promise you'll help get her laid to get her over the feelings gazza gave her when he touched her up while you gave him control and discover a lot about her, see Al and Ranlis fight at a local park that ends weirdly while you hang with the kids before taking them to an amusement park, ranlis teases adri about you hating chiss, return home finding bodyguards disposed of an assassin and drugged your 5th bodyguard who you unlock out of the closet, go attack thieves with myran, he acts against your orders killign someone and forces you in the stone when you try it with him, you're being a little pansy with weak hits since gazza's been seperated from you for days so you act such even as he treats you horribly and hits he woman in the stone, you consume him back in, you cancel on adri remebering plans with al only to discover she cancels on you and upon visiting adri's room find her crying and after some character deveolpment give her no sleep, find al asleep with a gay guy in a misunderstanding, then lewd sheulk,

Sheulk turns out to be more than you can handle and after round 1 lasts 13+ hours and you have to switch between yourself and myran before skeddadling like the fucking wind as peter because you're too injured and gazza is missing, to a nearby hotel where oyu rest the night, and awake with you and myran too injured to walk without a cane.
And that's where we left off, (but kept talking for 2 hours)

What does /tg/ use to make it's maps? I usually try to draw mine all on my own but I'm having a hard time right now and wondering what other programs are out there.
I didn't draw Pic Related, it's just there to show the thread is about maps.
I use paint.
Inkarnate is popular but as some people said it does make maps look 'samey'.

Starting with Oath (since this is the first block with the new two-set setup), the draft format will be two packs of the "newer" small set, and then one pack of the original set. So right now we draft BFZ BFZ BFZ, but when Oath comes out, the recommended draft format is OGW OGW BFZ.

We're all guys at the table, we've all known each other for a long time, and yet I STILL felt uncomfortable with casual sex jokes going on regarding my character. It was a weird experience.
In any case, I think it's safe to say that I understand why you need to be VERY careful choosing to play a female character as a guy. Even if you're mature enough to play it well (or at least to avoid situations you wouldn't play well), your table might not be mature enough to handle it.
Any similar experiences out there?

The first time I tried it went really well! I just didn't put it together until today that the first group I did it with had a MtF trans DM, a guy whose girlfriend is a SERIOUS feminist, and a gay guy, so the chances of all that coming up was pretty slim. DM was also a bit of a railroader, so we didn't really have the chance for that to happen.
Also the worst offender actually has a girlfriend - and in fact the other lonely men in the group have initiated the jokes the least of everyone, if at all. That said, I do understand your point. I guess I also have a greater understanding of why women tend to have a harder time getting into the hobby, now that I think about it.

Each element is pretty great. Fire can make fire and murder people easily, Water lets you heal people and do-rerolls, Air lets you do illusions and a few other useful things...but Earth just lets you stop other people from doing stuff. Earth's probably my least favourite, even if it's useful. I want to do stuff, not prevent stuff.
