Related to the guy asking in the previous thread about what boards we browse.
I've always thought that there's no way you can truly understand 4chan culture unless you've been a regular on multiple boards for at least a year. There is so much variety in the cultures of different boards, and to say that 4chan is just /b/ or just /a/ or just /v/ etc. is just wrong. 4chan is all of these boards, and you should be browsing more of them rather than fewer.

I'm rather triggered. As an occaisional phoneposter, I try to make significant and helpful posts from my mobile device. While I may only browse 5-10 minutes at a time, I'll lurk when I don't have time to post something thought out, or something short when needed (like this). Because it is. You're a special kind of stupid. When a bunch of people laud something, i.e. the overuse of memes, that's called support. In a mainstream environment, that makes it spread out. Take a look back a few years and look at how memes spread so fast. It happened before and it'll happen again, except instead of shrugging it off and keeping content positive, this community will keep using them ironically and keep calling things "maymays" and spam "nice meme" all over the place like they do now. Thus, it's no longer an insult and it forgets why it said things ironically in the first place. We then effectively become just like 9gag.

Neither of us can kick out the anons who like different things than we do. In my experience, complaining about them, or trying to call them out on it, doesn't work. My method, as I've said before, is to support the threads I like, and encourage original, quality content. And by just trying to have fun.
