Hey /mu/.
Before you guys read the rest of this, you should know that I've been struggling with depression for a while now. I was doing very badly, until I discovered music.
For the last year, producing music has been the only thing keeping my depression at bay. I felt genuinely happy when I produced music, and when I released my first album, I was the happiest I had ever been.
Recently, I've started realizing more and more that my music is terrible, and that I'm a fucking hack. I'm wondering at this point why I should even keep going. I'm...

Check these
>Talking about the Beatles with a grill
>Tell her I find them quite good just a little overrated
>She goes into a fit about how I 'don't get it' and how I probably only know one or two songs
>Tell her that I have listened to the entire discography multiple times
>Well anon if you actually did then you cannot possibly think like that!!
Why do people flip shit if you even dare to question the Beatles?
>>50759861
Because saying that The Beatles are overrated is wrong. Plain and simple. If you need this to be explained to you, I have no interest in hearing your opinions as they are worthless.

She's so different. It must be great having such unique friend with such good taste. Most people only listen to that Justin Bieber crap.
>tapes
>vinyls
Implying this isn't the most outrageously underrated physical format.
When's the minidisc revival /mu?
lol fucking loser
come back to the cassette thread and accept the upcoming mainstream revival
the cassette thing is bullshit and I cant believe small indie bands still sell them
>>50762692
CD-Rs made minidisc obsolete.
The only reason I bought a MD player in the late 90s was to make my own 'mixtapes' with the added benefit of being able to skips track. I even had a Sony MD car stereo which I only got rid of about five years ago.

Objekt's Flatland is AOTY
Is there an ambient music that's actually engaging and has a bunch of really intricate and interesting sounds and doesn't just sound like a synthesizer with one or two notes being held down at a time?

Throbbing Gristle, Ramleh, Parson Sound, Jon Hassell and Jean Guerin

What are the best resources to get into dance-oriented electronic music? I've had people recommend exploring labels but that seems time consuming and doesn't give me much of an idea of "the classics".
