I really loved the incorporation of string arrangements with electronic in 4 and Girl/Boy Song; you guys know any good albums that feature that prominently?

Can we take a minute to talk about this new Zun Zun Egui album? 2015 has been a pretty great year so far but Shackles' Gift definitely has to be the best thing I've listened to this year and it rivals everything I heard last year too.

I just can't get enough of the energy that these guys have. Rigid Man, Ruby, and Late Bloomer are all so in-your-face and ready to stampede over you. But the lyrics are just so out there, especially with African Tree with the chorus about cutting an arm off. There's so much rage on here but there's a ridiculous twist to it and it's almost kind of funny

It blends noise rock, post-punk, psych rock, and world music together so smoothly. Swans fans would like it.

ITT: We compare musicians to directors

I think that Nolan is most comparable to Radiohead. Both are pretty good at what they do, but they just make more "accessible" versions of the stuff that influenced them. For some reason, they are hailed as the second coming of artistic Jesus by people who don't know any better.

Kanye = Tarantino.

Both are noted assholes with an over inflated ego. Both have a major tendency to use samples. Both constantly get heavily praised no matter what they do (save for one or two exceptions)

I dont even have anything against "crescendo-core", hell, I never even use the term normally, I was just dissapointed at her entry-level taste. I woke up the next morning and laughed at myself, praying it never happens again.

what about you guys? Any times that your /mu/ instincts kicked in?

Alright. So I'm going to do acid for the first time sometime soon. I'm looking for psychedelic music, or any good music to listen to while tripping. I'm referring to the quality of being psychedelic. Not necessarily overtly psychedelic rock, pop, metal, et cetera. In terms of musical attributes, whatever makes stoner rock stoner rock is irrelevant to me. I'm just looking for music that has a psychedelic quality about it. Music of all genres, even if it's only vaguely psychedelic. I hope I've made myself clear. I realize it's probably an unusual request. But let's get this going. I appreciate it.

Bonus points for psychedelic hip hop and electronic music. Sorry for the umbrella terms.

Pic somewhat related.
