Why do people say .flac is better? I always avoid it, because the volume is usually too low, and album art is always missing.

same its not worth the flak

this
Richard has uploaded 27 unreleased SAW 85-92 and tracks to soundcloud. 100% legit, he has played a few of these in live sets before and they haven't been spotted until now.
https://soundcloud.com/user487363530
Amazing
>>53154837
"20 Pink Floyd", "Sams car" and "Plinkyplonk" are favs thus far.
How do I download them so Rich won't delete all of them like he did with his other soundcloud?
>>53154837
post a mega link and proof and ill download it and spread it.
>>53154983
The only evidence I have that the official Aphex soundcloud replied to user487363530 saying "nice tracks, keep it up" or something like that, which was the only reply Aphex ever made.
What would be some interesting ways to physically release your music?
I tried to get one of my songs on one of those musical toothbrushes but I don't think it's possible
Let's share some nutty ideas
how hard do you guys think it would be to open one of those fuckers up and put your own audio data on it?
I might try this

Freddy Mercury would be rolling in his grave right now
>>53140781
Why? I don't see what problem Freddy would have with promoting dental hygiene and introducing his music to younger audiences.
>itt albums you don't think anyone else on /mu/ has listened to

>alt rock, jazz rock, midwest emo
Some guy always shilled/is shilling this. But I'll do it first so he doesn't get the chance.
>Needs 10 musicians to be in the room with him before he makes a simple beat
>Multiple ghostwriters
>Mediocre flow and bad breath control
So we all agree that Kanye is the most overrated rapper of all time?
>>53153434
Who is then?
>albums have good music on them
>from multiple people
>Kanye is in the forefront as the genius even though his input is questionable besides rapping at this point in his career
I don't give a fuck
post em, suggest em, appreciate em.
fuck 12TET
oh yeah I forgot, /mu/ is a bunch of normie faggots that can't into unusual music
I've been enjoying Ivan Wyschnegradsky a lot lately. I don't think quartertones are really a fantastic approach to microtonality, but he puts it to good use.

All the tracks are claimed and one is already finished

tape modulation, listening, or traditional recording?

How much did you cop that for? I've been trying to get a 414 mkII for awhile, but the prices on ebay are insane. Is it worth waiting for the price to drop?

Everything man
>>53140764
I don't have that, it was just what came up on Google. I have a Tascam Porta07 and I'm just getting used to it at the moment. It's really fun but I already feel quite limited with just 4 tracks and no stereo bounce down (I don't think)
>I'm not the usual OP so I just searched the archive for the picture edition
Y'all know the drill.

Just in time, was about to make a thread. Usual pasta:
Post the tracks you're working on, discuss general music composition. Learn how to deal with laptop stealing crooks and how to create a 3D model of a room using acoustic wave simulations.
Remember to use:
>clyp.it for WiPs
>soundcloud for completed tracks and getting called a fag for not going to soundcloud threads
We're making an album! (or trying to).
How to...
Comment too long. Click here to view the full text.
Hey friendos, so I've been working on this on/off since....
Uh...
At least 8 am if not earlier, currently 4:35 pm. Whatchu guise think? I'm pretty happy with what I've got down so far. Super cyberpunk pseudo-IDM breakbeat... or something.

King Crimson invented and perfected grunge in the early 70s.
Nirvana just watered it down and made it more accessible for the masses. It was still pretty great though.
That album literally sounds nothing like grunge
>>53135683
Love this album but maybe aside from Red, how is it Grunge?
That album has prototypical elements of math rock, prog metal, and even noise rock, but I don't see grunge at all.
ITT post your favorite album of all time and respond to person above you about their choice.
