I like Pretty Hate Machine, Downward Spiral, The Fragile, and With Teeth.Everything else he's done I just can't get in to.
Fragile is so close to a masterpiece like DS, but it's marred by it's length. If it were one of the original 1 cd tracklistings Reznor had planned for the record, it would've worked so much better.

Focus on each instrument line individually. The rythms are very free, and this is the best way to start listening to free jazz if you're having trouble imo
