Which 1911 is better? The Kimber stainless target ii or the Springfield Armory loaded 1911. My buddy is selling his loaded 1911 with a wilson combat barrel with about 5000 rounds through it and extended slide and mag release. I can get either for $1000. What do /k/?

Kimbers are pretty bad. I get a Rock Island 1911 instead and compare that to SpringField.

Had a Kimber Custom II for a little while now, only put around 500 through it. Only one FTF, I will admit it was the cherry shot.

I have one too.
My lady and I rented one at the range today trying to find her a carry gun. We both enjoyed it greatly. Best feeling and straight shooting .380 I've shot. Range rental was a decently used sport 12 version.
I'm planning on making my first AR-15 build a retro build. Any reccomendations on parts kits or places to get parts(Was already looking at Nodak Spud)? I'm also going to a local gun show this Sunday and will be looking at parts there. I don't care 100% about historical accuracy but I am aiming to specifically have

Midwest NuggetFest will most likely be in October though I have not decided on a State yet. Unfortunately due to scheduling conflicts, we will not be using the same location as the last Midwest NuggetFest. So you guys get to put in your 2 cents on where you want the next Midwest event.
