What are the best Iron sights that you can put on a rail?
I want to have a good set that locks in when up and wont catch on gear and such
MBUS Pros are my favorite. Sold my Troys, they were too bulky

Hey /k/ I'm going to be getting my Conceal carry permit soon, and I am currently looking for a good carry piece. I currently own a Taurus PT92, and S&W 629 6", and I'm looking at the Gen 4 Glock 19..
I don't want to get into a caliber war, but I'm not really certain on what to carry, or if I would be better off getting something a little smaller like an LC9 or a sig P938 (not a fan of the LC9, not very comfortable). I've got a friend who purchased the 928 (.380) and he loves it. He's also a kind of smaller guy. I'm a larger guy, a couple extra pounds, 6'2, and Typically work in a relatively professional environment, so typically I wear a button-down and khakis or sometimes. Is a Glock 19 too big for someone with an IWB holster? I really like the thought of a 15 round capacity, I know thats a shit load of ammo to have for a carry piece, but

One of the things that initially pushed me away but is kind of drawing me in now is the wide variety of aftermarket parts, I'm one of those guys who likes to have something unique that isn't often seen, but at the same time, I want something that is proven to be a good shooter. Yes this is a CC piece, but I do enjoy shooting as often as possible, and want it to fill a few different shoes.
This is one that really caught my eye, a factory engraved Sig P938, looks beautiful, but a CC piece is probably going to get beaten up, dinged, scratched up, etc. and I would probably destroy this beautiful piece.
Have you considered the SR-9c? I also found the LC9 to be too small, but the 9c was perfect for what I wanted. My prior cc was a Star SS in .380, but I wanted a small 9mm so I could share ammo with my Glock 17.
Would it have been more effective for him to try to put some of them down with his personal weapon?

Really good book actually. I own it, and there is tons of good info from tactics, equipment, skills. Definitely worth it.

I have the option to pick up a Baikal Makarov in 9x18 in a trade. I had an old Bulgarian surplus Mak in the past but I no longer have.
How are the Baikal Maks? Aren't they pretty much just commercial Makarovs with adjustable rear sights? Are they worth it over a normal old fixed sight Mak?
Sights are kinda shitty as they woggle around, but really its still a decent gun. I've had mine since 2007 and I still shoot and enjoy it.

Sorry, no; the only thing that scares away home invaders is the death of one or more of their own, your willingness to actually use whatever weapon you have.
This being a big step away from the usual nanny state mindset, you might want to consider starting with a good dog, though.
