Would going to the range once or twice a month be enough? How important is the rifle? My only semi-auto right now is an sks, and I do "ok" with it same for my 1911. How would I guage when I need a newer rifle or handgun?
>>29431102
i was gunna give you advice, but then I remembered that I dont have any guns and only come on this board to look at cool pictures.
>>29431102
Do you have any other rifles? You only mentioned semi auto. Do you own a bolt fun?
>>29432186
I got a 7.62x51 mauser, but expensive to shoot.
Okay so which one of you did this?

How much Ballistol is too much Ballistol?
>>29430849
You really shouldnt be using shaving cream on your guns OP
>>29430849
any.
Outers Nitro Solvent is 100% better, and doesnt smell like liquid cancer.
>>29430868
Naw man, it smells of licorice and Granpa Hickok45.
Hey /k/,
Really considering adding one of these to the collection. Does anyone have some firsthand insight on them? Opinions?
>>29429844
I had one back in the early 1980's.
It was a complete piece of shit. It's just one person's experience with it but I'd never waste another dollar on one.
>>29429844
That is pretty cool. If you really want the survivalist usage for it I would go with a 20 gauge 22 combo rifle. But depending on cost, I would do it.(cost being 250 or less)
>>29429844
I had one but got rid of it. It only worked reliably with Winchester T-22. If I used anything else it misfired every 3 or 4 shot.
Pros - Lightweight, compact, easy to carry in a backpack, fun to put together, average accuracy out to 25 yards, everyone wanted to have a shoot whenever I pulled it out of the pack.
Cons - Jamamatic with almost every type of ammo, crap accuracy at longer than 25 yards, trigger assembly had some slop in in when assembling it, always felt 'fragile' when put together.

Recent acquisitions thread?
Also how much did you pay OP? It't not a bad choice given how cheap they are.
>>29429498
Absolute shit gun. You can get a new M&P 9 (not that they are great guns) for like 100 more. You fucked up, should have saved up till you had 450ish, or just have bought a Bulgarian Makarov for 320
>you and a group of 3 others are strolling along the street in full battle armor and your choice of weapon when holy shit a chaos marine pops out of the bush
how fucked are you
STORM BOLTER
B U M P
Question is how fucked is he?
I just got my BCM upper in the mail and noticed some bolt wear before I have ever put a round through it. Anyone notice this before on theirs?
>>29429281
y'know the part where they say their bolts are high pressure tested?
how do you think they do that?

Felons pls go
>>29429316
I was thinking the same, but that's super excessive... That doesn't look right... Like a lot of primer gas cutting over time not right...

Looks nice, how is the bore?
If the modern military doctrine is suppressive fire until you call in artillery or an air strike, why don't soldiers carry M249s?
>>29429096
soldiers do carry M249s

Why not P90s?

What is the survival percentage rate for jumping on a grenade?
>>29428996
depends on where you land in relation to the grenade and the terrain maybe, just maybe theres a chance you'll survive
Depends. Did someone pull the pin?
About 100% if the pin's still in it.
Hey /k/, this piece just fell out of my M&P 40, and I can't seem to figure out what it is and where it goes. Any help? .40 round for scale.
>>29428505
Looks like some kind of washer or shim. It probably needs to go back in, but it doesn't look broken. Good luck trying to find where it came from.
I've got an m&p 9 and I haven't seen anything like that in my gun, I also had it apart to do a trigger job a while back. Only thing I could see that going on would be the takedown lever to keep it from falling out the side? Mine used a little spring thing to keep it in, but maybe they're different.
thats an e-clip for a trigger pin.
Haven't seen anyone talk about this yet so, what does /k/ think about Tarkov?
inb4 hype vs product is disappointing as fuck but

it looks great but the gameplay looks like shit
all those animations are wasted when it plays like cod instead of a slower paced game like stalker where every bullet matters

I don't know
>>29428412
Yes, get the ambi safety delete, and the yeti wurks grip is pretty nice
If I were you, I'd wait until the 2016 version starts selling, it give you a QD mount up front, and replaces the rails with m-lok cuts.
Other than that, I love the thing, I'll send in my SBR paperwork as soon as my tax return is direct deposited.
>soldiers: fight on land
>dictionary definition of a "soldier" is someone who fights in a land-based armed force
>"Marines": fight on land
>"Don't you dare call me a soldier! I'm a Marine!"
What the fuck? Yeah I get it your DIs brainwashed you into thinking you're a special snowflake and so different from the Armyâ„¢, but why get this autistic about this terminology when both roles are nearly identical?...

It's called Esprti de Corps
Maybe if your shitty service had some you'd understand that soldier.
I hate it when they do that as well. I'm not trying to be disrespectful or anything when I call them a solider. No need to get all pissy
Thank you for your service btw
