Hi, /k/. I'm currently nogunz who is in the market for a full size handgun under 600 dollars. What's the best I can buy? Doesn't matter to me if new or used, as long as it works and works well.

If your intentions are to use it for defense then consider factoring spare magazines, defensive ammunition, and perhaps a gun-mounted light in to your budget. Range toy you can get away with a couple mags. Also, you didn't mention a caliber, which have considerable price differences

Most glock full size models are over 600 by about 30-40 dollars. Sig Sauer p320f is a full sized 9mm that you can swap parts to have a compact and subcompact sized pistol as well.
Not sure about the rest of the US, but lgs has a few beretta 92's sitting around unfired for 550.
If you don't mind Turkish handguns, canik tp9 is about 350 and pretty solid.

What is the cheapest (bust still decent) precision rifle on the market? Or, if like the AR, what's the cheapest way to build a precision rifle that'll preform like pic related?
whatever model of Savage has both an accustock (just pre-bedded, really) and accutrigger (actually important) in a caliber you like, plus the best scope you can fit in your budget.
As far as "cheapest," the MSRP on the Savage model 10 FCP-SR is 785 dollars, but it's only available in .308, which isn't a super well-regarded precision cartridge. The 11/111 FCNS has an MSRP of 792 dollars and way more available chamberings, so that's probably a better place to start.

Anyways, for recreational shooting, the getting a reliably firing load the the center barrel is going to a son of a bitch, and firing the shotgun will probably be no fun. From what I've heard, you need to cut open a 12 gauge shell, and get a certain amount of powder and pellets, without messing it up. I'm not a potato, so yes, I'm going to make sure I'm doing it 100% properly...

Are you talking about using smokeless powder from a modern 12 gauge shell, because that is not a good idea for a black powder gun, you can just buy or cast your own shot in whatever size you want for it by the bottle and I'm sure use the same black powder you use for the normal cylinder loads.

I know that most of /k/ really likes them, but I hate them. Not even as an edgelord or to be a contrarian, but because I flat out don't like it.
It feels overly fat and heavy, not a fan of cock on close, the cock on close is too fucking stiff and heavy, the bolt angle feels unnatural to me, I don't like the sights.
It feels like driving an F-350 that has an old 302 engine under the hood, for all my daily activities where a Ford Taurus would be better in literally every way.
