So, I bought gen 1 ir polish tanker nightvision goggles online.
When I touch the power connector to a 9 volt battery, the pack on he back buzzes, but I cannot see anything through the goggles, just black. I have:
1) made sure the helmet is set to 12vdc, not 24vdc.
2) goggle covers were removed.
3) I have not powered them up in daylight, just a darkened room in my basement.
4) I used a flashlight and the ir headlight covers to create ambient ir light.

Did I buy a bum pair or do I need the 12 volts before they'll power up green? I dont know anything about night vision goggles, should I be able to see through them anyways without power?

Sounds like you burned out the resistors using 9v instead of 12v, hence the humming.

No. The AR-15 exists. The CZ-75 is an also-ran improved BHP. Tbhfam I think the 1911 is the finest pistol out there with the only real contender being the Beretta 92FS
>>
>>29714138
1911 is a good gun, but serving as the predecessor to browning system pistols, it's pretty much inferior to CZ 75 and derived firearms, since these improve the browning system in every way.
AR-15 system has its direct impingement system which tends to fill it's mechanism with fouling if you shoot anything other than the piss poor 223.

>>29714087
I think it's the best as Browning system pistols ever went (unsurprisingly, since it's probably one of the newest browning system pistols built from ground up), but surely other handguns of other mechanisms surpass it in certain areas.

No gun is perfect.

Except the Colt SAA.

>he's too poor to afford a communist rifle
I hope the irony isn't lost on you.

My grandfather told me he's gonna take some kind of firearms training course. His intention is to get a concealed weapon licensed so I'm assuming it's that but he didn't specify.

I'm pretty neutral on personal firearms since I grew up in rural Vermont, where everyone had multiple. Thing is though, my grandfather should not own a gun. He's an alcoholic, PTSD Vietnam vet who believes things are more dangerous than ever because of the news and politics.

He should absolutely not own a gun. Not that it's a reason for or against, but he's also never been robbed or even been in a civilian fight so I don't know why he feels this way. He also thinks the economy is crashing. I asked him "Do you think things are less safe or do you think it's in your head?" and he started talking about how it's you or them. I just don't think a civil war is imminent like he does and only bad shit can come from this.

Will he be turned away? If not, is there anything I can do?

where to buy shipping container?

>ordered an m&p shield from psa with $17 shipping
>literally minutes later, see it on the daily deals with free shipping
>contact psa and ask them if it would be okay to cancel my first order and immediately order a second one
>first order ships the next morning
>can't call them to cancel it now
>second one just shipped

What do I do? Is it possible to send it back to them once it reaches my ffl? I had no idea psa shipped this quickly. All this just to save $17

They probably have a restocking fee. It should be listed on their site. You will also have to pay shipping back.
>>
>>29713848
Read their return policy and it says firearms can't be returned unless there's some sort of defect once it ships.

>>29713792
