Use an air duster, apply a light coat of oil and wipe off, leave out overnight, inspect the next morning, if it's gucci oil and clean business as usual and you're good.

Why not just wear clothes with a lot of pockets?
It's less conspicuous, the pockets on cargo pants and fishing vests are usually bigger than those on tacvests, and normal clothes are way more comfortable than harnesses and load-bearing rigs.
Even if you need that extra bit of storage, why not sew attachment loops and magazine pockets into the interiors of normally fashionable vests and jackets? It'd be more discreet, comfortable and even more useful than getting some Chicom tacvest!

So /k/ ive been thinking late night thoughts and i was wondering could it be possible to create old historical plate armors from ar500 steel? Would it still be as effective? I know ar500 plates are a bit thicker than armor was back then but how heavy/maneuverable do you think it would actually be pic somewhat realted
Ar-500 steel isn't just steel. You can't reform it and maintain it's ballistic qualities unless you own the damn factory.

Im kinda going through a hard time, my dad medically retired from the police force about 6 months ago, a tumor was growing on his spinal column and it became so painful he had to undergo heavy medication.
The effects on his central nervous system has been devastating. He slurrs his speech due to the meds and cant even bend over to pick up something.
