>/pol/ reporting on in, I was sent here to get /k/'s analysis of this Kevlar helmet that saved a SWAT's life in this mornings hostage rescue in orlando, florida.

Right here, you are looking at the difference between a desk job and a funeral.
Omar's Arsenal SGL appears to have been far more effective than Breivik's .223 mini 14 and Lanza's ..223 Bushy combined?
AK fear da win?
>>30248149
Who said he was using an Arsenal?
>>30248160
He is muslim so he obviously had to use an ak :^)
I got inside Intel from OPD
Is there any verification on what he used? The media says he used an "assault rifle". Are they using the meme definition, an actual fully auto AR, or did home boy just use a bump fire stock?
>>30248122
semi-auto ar15
it's convenient for them to use AR as a backronym for "Assault Rifle"
22lr AR
seriously
>>30248162
But how? .22lr couldn't even kill Ronald Reagan, I don't see how it could've killed that many people.
For what purpose?

I just received about 300 round of Tulammo in 223. Has anyone had experience with this in the AR platform?
I've heard/read a lot of things but I wanted to ask if anyone has tried it personally here.
From what I've read or seen, half of the people it gets a malfunction and the other half just fine. I don't know what to believe
>>30247557
If your gun doesn't suck it'll run just fine
I've fired 500 rounds of it through my BCM without any problems. Not even a relube or clean just to see if a malfunction would occur.
>>30247557
It is dirty and low powered, steel cases expand slower letting carbon into the chamber then contract slower after firing than brass which can lead to stuck cases. The projectiles are copper or zinc washed steel jacketed which erodes barrel steel faster than copper gliding jackets.
That all said, I'd rather you be out shooting than not able to afford brass cased and copper jacketed ammo. If it what you have or can afford, use it.
Apparently the British and Germans have built the longest amphibious bridge at 350 metres. Pretty fucking nato.

They know that boats exist, right?
>>30247220
I don't think moving a cavalry brigade across a river in boats is very efficient.
>>30247220
I don't think you understand bridges and why they're used instead of boats
How many of you fags are affiliated with the Pink Pistols? You don't have to be gay, just someone who wants the gays armed.
Armed gays don't get bashed, or massacred by Muslims in Orlando. Find your local chapter:
http://www.pinkpistols.org/find-a-local-chapter/
Even if some were shooters, I doubt a lot of people would carry guns to go to a gay bar... Or any club, really.

Same logic, if the enemy did not achieve the goals they set out with it's a victory for you.
Some of the Chinese solders during this were only armed with melee weapons, spears and daos.
so what are our alternatives to nuclear weapons and why dont we use them, surely we can make extremely devastating bombs that arent radioactive. because... i mean... nuclear weapons are probably the worst thing to ever happen to our species.
>>30246629
A large enough conventional explosive maybe.
Nuclear weapons use smaller payloads anymore, IIRC. Meaning civilian casualties would be lower
>>30246675
yea but id like to see, some kind of mad scientist come up with a super weapon, kind of like what you would see in a command and conquer game. i.e. a proton collider or some shit. something that would be benign to the environment. the best we're doing right now is point defense lasers, half assed mac cannons, and microwave guns lol

Any Swissfag here?
I just put some money aside to buy myself a new semi auto rifle. Unfortunately these news about the EU and how they will force Switzerland to adopt the semi auto ban, has made me wonder if buying guns right now would mean that I would have them confiscated in the future.
Should we still be buying guns in Switzerland after these recent news?
This will not go through at the parliement. Write to your respresentztives
>>30245776
We don't have representatives in the EU.
We have to adopt the laws because we of that shit Schengen bullshit.
>>30245750
Buy them. Even if the laws change, the tyrants will have to pry it from your cold dead hands. Advice from a Pvt. in the swiss armed forces. (I wont be the one prying).

Question: Does anyone know if there's any stock behind the rumors that Nighthawk Custom is going to be offering compact slides for Hi-Powers soon? If not, are there any FM Argentine Detective sldies to be found still?

>thawk Custom is going to be offering compact slides for Hi-Powers soon? If not, are there any FM Argentine Detective sldies to be found still?
Why the fuck would you want a short slide you faggot? Its not that the Browning Hi power is a very thick gun or is super hard to carry.
Also I got an FEG hi power, is shocking how good the ergos and bore axis are for a gun from the fucking late 1920s-30s. Like Seriously, it to me is more comfortable and has less felt recoil then a sig p226. I mean to me it feels like a more refined 1911.
And I see OP knocked out the retaining pin for the magazine disconnect. Once you remove that the trigger becomes so much nicer and mags just don't drop free but practically fly out the gun.
Put an extended safety lever on one, remove the mag disconnect, and load up a mec-gar 15 rounder with your hollow point of choice and the hi-power is easily the equal of just about any modern pistol.
Though I do think the CZ-75 is superior to the hi-power. It has similar yet even more superior ergos, a even lower bore axis, more capacity, and double action capability.
Though I love both guns just because of how pleasant shooting they are in 9mm, and the very nice trigger pull you can get from a hammer fired gun. Not to mention both guns are absolute sex to look at

Does /k/ reload?
I just finished up loading about 300 rounds of .30-06 for my M1 Garand. It's the first time I've loaded for rifle so fingers crossed.
You have to load it to wartime M2 Ball spec, that's the only thing the Garand can eat. I had a bunch of Korean once-fired brass that had crimped primer pockets, for that I had to purchase an RCBS primer pocket swager tool. There are a lot of accessories you will find yourself forced to buy when getting into reloading. And sometimes you don't even save that much money. For instance, my 30-06 reloads...
