What's everyone think of the H&K VP9? I have the opportunity to get one for a good price with some extras. I've been in the market for a striker fire pistol in 9mm but was leaning towards the M&P9. Anyone who has had experience with both?

Paddle mag release, also considering it's about 0.5 inch longer than the G19 it should hold more than 15 rounds.

I've bought myself Pietta's Remington New Model Army yesterday.
While I was fingering it at home today, I've noticed that, when in half cock, plunger only aligns with lower chamber just before hand switches to next groove (the click sound)[second photo].
While I have no experiance with cap&ball revolvers, I have the feeling that this might get annoying once on range, since if I were to pass that "sweet spot", I would have to remove cylinder and try to align it correctly again.
Fortunetly I did found workaround, by pulling cylinder pin slightly forward just so it disengages from back of the frame.[pic. no.3]
So my question is, is this a feature or is there something wrong? If so, is it the cylinder or a hand?
First pic shows that plunger aligns perfectly when hammer is down.
Also any advice for cap&ball revolvers newbie would be appreciated.

Glock 19 fits perfectly for me. Nice and comfortable. Only issue is I have somewhat bigger hands so I needed to mod the grip, but other than that Glock 19 gen 4 for me

I figure it would be a way to get paid working on a passion, and maybe get the inside scoop of whats to come

Being a gunsmith for a large manufacturer is generally pretty shit. You most likely would just be in assembly.
Private gunsmithing is decent money if you specialize. You're better off just learning CNC and becoming a machinist if thats what you are interested in.
I just build my own shit to enhance my personal collection.

I work for Kel-Tec. CNC operator. Great company, amazing benefits, and serious discounts on our guns and with other manufacturers and suppliers that we have deals with. If you're really looking to get into it I would say take the steps to become a machinist and supplement that with general gunsmithing knowledge. That would get you started on being able to do just about anything you want with firearms. The stuff you could do with a small mill or lathe in your garage could be a good way to make side money and maybe get your own company going.
