Why is the BTR-80 so much worse than its counterparts?

what the hell are you comparing it to? the BTR-60 through -80's US equivalents are the Striker and M113, which are just as poorly armored and even more lightly armed. it's NOT an IFV and is not supposed to tank shots nor post a significant threat to enemy vehicles.

You can find a snub nosed revolver in just about any revolver caliber you please, but the .38 special is ubiquitous, and for good reason. Just had my 2nd ND...was practicing loading my SKS and it slam fired.
Because of this im seriously considering a clearing bucket. Has anyone else used one of these? how effective is it? Does sand or gravel work better?
It works, probably want a metal bucket as the side may split on a plastic one. Sand, less sharp fragments flying around that way.

I really like the look and design of karambit knives, I'd like one as a self defense weapon as well as for normal utility purpose. I already carry pepper spray so this would definitely be a last resort. I also checked up on local laws and they're pretty lax, so I shouldn't have trouble carrying it.
