Does anyone sell a set of reloading does for a bunch of different common calibers? Like can I buy one big set with all the dies for 9mm, .45, .223, etc?
question for you reloaders, how long does it take to load say 100 rounds? and are some calibers easier to reload than others?

It depends on whether your press is single stage or progressive, and how involved you are with the whole process.
Smelting scrap lead into ingots, then casting it into bullets, then powder coating them, then expanding the cases to accommodate the larger bullet takes a lot more time than just buying boolits, but its a good deal cheaper.
My reloading block holds 50 cases. I haven't timed myself but I can put out somewhere between...

What is /k's opinion on thumbing down the slide lock on a 1911 with an empty chamber?
I have heard conflicting testimonies. Some people say it damages internal components. Some swear it is nothing more than a myth.
I hate to think that our lord and savior john browning would have designed a pistol that magically damages itself from the spring tension gently moving the slide forward about a Inch. That would be some shit that I wouldn't trust to contain hundreds of consecutive explosions in front of my face hahaha

Not on an empty chamber- there is a very slight chance of damage to the extractor if a cartridge is in the chamber.
I don't like to do it just because I'm used to a left hand rack. But if your gun is going to get damaged through basic operation you shouldn't have that gun.
What benefits would come with hunting North American big game with e 45-70 lever action over a 30.06 bolt action?
I've always been a bolt action person but I would like to know the practical benefits of using a lever action.
