What's up /k/ I have a dilemma. I just got paid and I can finally afford my first gun. However. I still need to pay off my credit card, which I won't even be able to do anyways if I don't buy the gun. Should I just buy one and pay off my card later or should I clear myself of all debts before I buy?

The semiauto ones have a reputation for being a little bit finnicky. Don't get me wrong, I think they're neat looking as shit, but there's a lot of downsides to a huge oddly shaped .32.

The F22 was cancelled due to excessive cost and poor quality used only once and within 2 weeks the US announced the F22 Craptor was to be replaced. The F22 now 19 year old and still not in production as its riddled with major design problems. As usual Russian tech beats the west and at lower cost. You can probably get 2 PAK FA for the cost of one non working F22

I'm a cop. I'm looking for a weak-side cargo pocket carry alternative in case shithead decides to try and pry my duty weapon from its holster. My partner carries a S&W 642 w/ CT grips. It's nice and light. I could barely feel it when I tried on the cargo pocket holster myself. I've noticed that there are many options when it comes to .38 Smiths. Here are the four models I've narrowed my search down to.
I will most likely swap the grips on whichever model I end up getting to CT laser grips. I'll likely replace the front sight with a tritium sight. My primary focus is low weight. Even if I get a .357/.38, I'll likely load it with .38. I'm interested in what /k/ thinks.

Better front sight is good, not sure about the laser grips. if it's a backup you're going to be shooting at contact distance and not aiming with the sights, make it as snag free as possible.
Go for the steel cylinders, more weight means less recoil.
I saw another thread for a Ruger LCR. They look cheap. I want lifesaving. I don't care about the price, it must go bang when I pull the trigger.

Alright /k/ommandos, just got off the horn with my heavily armed, healthily paranoid, and incredibly well informed excoworker. Buying a first gun and he suggested an AR over an AK or Mosin (he owns all). He informed me that I could build an AR pistol 80%, as long as I put on a brace rather than a stock. He also showed me how easy it was to change calibers and barrels on an AR. so far, my setup is as follows:
>.22lr with 7"barrel for small game hunting/survival
>9mm with 7"barrel for CQC/room clearing/ pseudo-SMG duties
>.223/5.56 with a 16" barrel for general "assault rifle" duties
>large caliber (thinking 50bmg) with a long as barrel (thinking 24") for sniping/cover fire/big game hunting/whatever the fuck else I could use and handcannon for.
My POU for the rifle would be as a versatile and RELATIVELY lightweight combat rifle, for SHTF, happenings, BLM riot, etc. Work your magick and tell me which parts are retarded, if/why I'M retarded, and what twist i should do for each caliber.

BRs use full length rifle cartidges like 7.62x51 NATO
ACRs are OK, but are overpriced and lack many of the features that were supposed to make them unique.
