I have around 4000rds of 115gr 9mm ball and hardly any hollow points. I just can't bring my self to stockpile the defensive ammo when it's almost 2x the cost.
But I just had what might be a great idea. Tell me why I cant make jig that locates and secures the case rim, and drill out the tip on a drill press.
I already Googled it, and can't find anyone doing it on a drill press with a jig.
Youre pretty special arent you

check out the old basement machinist/ johnny labs/ thesalesman2.0 infographics, he had a thing on doing that with .32 short
to be honest, doing what you're thinking without using a lathe and collets will inevitably lead to FTF in an auto loading gun
>>30661703
Yeah you could do that but it won't have the same effect as a HP that was factory made. FMJ is fine.
A couple days ago was my first time at a gun range.
I shot a 1911, glock 19, and a cz 75.
The Glock 19 hit me and my girlfriend in the forehead with several casings. Is this normal for a Glock 19?
I was more accurate with the Glock 19 than either the CZ 75 or the 1911 but i'm kind of concerned that the casings were striking both me and my GF in the forehead.
Is this normal?
youre limp wristing
if you hold the glock firmly the casings have a predictable sideways trajectory
>>30661688
You sure?
Because i read on some sites that the glock has a problem with casings ejecting towards your head.
The guy at the range said it was a wrist problem also, but i read otherwise on the internet,
It also never happened with the 1911 or the cz.
>>30661922
don't you think if the rental gun had mechanical problems the staff would have fixed them instead of continuing to rent a dysfunctional gun? considering the glock is at least 10 ounces lighter than each of the other guns you shot and thus subject to greater recoil, i suspect you were limp wristing.

I fucking hate when people say this shit. You don't know me, and you don't actually give a fuck about what me or my friends have been through. People say "Thank you for your service" to get acknowledged by a stranger, and it's annoying. At best, it's a trivial statement that means nothing.

I'm looking to get into prepping. No tinfoil hat government is watching shit but generally find a moderate group of guys to join for any grab gun and go innawoods. I live in Orem/Provo area Utah. Anyone here can help?
>>30660636
Im not inna area or I would. Look into Zombie prepping. Not the "paint everything green with bio hazzard all over" but the actual prep of it. Why? becuse if you are prepared for a zombie apocolypse you are preped for everything.
If thats too autistic for you.
focus on:
>guns
>food storage
>self reliance
>bugout truck
>bugout bag
ect

What part of Utah? Are you Mormon? Honestly, Southern Utah is almost full of preppers. The Mormons still act like the government is going to invade them.

If you strapped a claymore (or other directional mine) to your chest with the bangy side facing away from you, could you detonate it to kill people in front of you without killing yourself?
I just read this crazy shit the South Koreans special forces used to do, and I was wondering if this was a suicidal kamikaze thing or a legit tactic,
>Source: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Axe_murder_incident#Operation_Paul_Bunyan
>>30659746
Directly on your chest it's full suicide status. The direction of a claymore is the shape designed to direct the shrapnel forward, the blast itself and shrapnel from the mines casing will still travel backwards.
>>30659746
You will die.

I am curious if anyone here as any experience with these trigger systems or if they knew of a great one that was relatively universal. I know that these typically seem like gimmicks, but after firing my ex military friends m4(in full auto) and his AR15 with a slidefire, I bought one, and am very happy with it. I guess the main question is, does anyone know of an assisted trigger system that works, and what do they think of/or know about the hypergat. Also a general explanation of how they work would be great, ive seen different models, some people using strings, cranks, a bunch...

If that is merely a motor actuating the trigger continually as long as you hold down some sort of button, thats illegal as hell.
Are there any little saturday night special type pistols worth having? It sounds like they're all trash. I was thinking about keeping one in a hallowed out book or hidden somewhere in my computer room. I have a safe and other pistols, but I don't like the idea of owning a safe, a nice expensive pistol, and then not keeping it in a safe in the first place. Also something I can just throw in my pocket on a summer day is a bonus.
Hi Points are good to have for kicks. I have two. They're shitty but they do work.
It seems a bit pointless to stake your life on a shitty pistol.
I got a fie titan 25 acp. Havent shot it yet but it seems like a quality piece. Intend to start carrying it due to the tiny size.
