So is there any real reason to use a shotgun over a modern tactical rifle in modern combat? And I'm including all forms of combat in this, from home defense to a full blown war zone.
I know shotguns still have their place in hunting and sport, and their fun as fuck to shoot, but in terms of fighting other humans they seem objectively inferior to an AR or AK. Less than a third as many rounds, heavy as fuck recoil, shorter range (I said shortER sperglords, I know they are still effective past video game distances,) louder, and unless you have the money to drop on a reliable auto you're stuck with a manual action. The only thing they have in their favor is raw power (but there's a reason we use intermediate calibers as the go-to nowadays), and spread.

Can someone explain to me why anti-ship missiles are considered so deadly? I thought in war, ships would hit each other with shells that were much larger and had more explosives in them, and AP shells could penetrate through armor belts.

Are Revolver manufacturers required to install internal locks by law? Or is it merely caving to political pressure? Is it a state by state issue?
I think it's only specific manufacturers that do it. I know Ruger doesn't.
The same conglomerate that owns S&W also owns an integral gun lock company/patents. S&W management publicly sided with Clinton on gun locks for this reason and perhaps others, and they remain on new S&W revolvers to this day.

rail is nice to have, its nearly impossible to find an off the shelf holsters for 1911s with rails/ lights, they never quite fit right and god forbid you ever change something like the slide release
that being said if you dont plan on ever putting a light on it save yourself the hassle and dont get a rail

went to AF recruiter this morning, took practice ASVAB, scored really well he said. the problem is that both jobs i was interested in aren't available or in very limited quantity (like .9% or .45% chance of getting them).
he really pushed crypto linguist, EOD, security forces or special aircraft maintenance.
so i called my army recruiter (sgt. shieet for those who frequent these threads) and she said the job i want is available, but its based on my ASVAB score. i told her i'm taking ASVAB monday, and if i get the score i need, I'll sign the papers with her that day. if i don't, guess i'm learning arabic.
anyone familiar with DLAB?
i also have the current AF job availability chart, SF86 packet, and PAST form if anyone would like a copy
