Definitely, it's frustratingly rare for being so large, once you get it, Africa looks much more filled up.
My current map, I guess you have Cape Verde and I have Guyana and French Guiana, but those are the only differences I noticed.
>>
>>58148474
I don't know Albania isn't exactly common but it's certainly not rare, and other small Eastern European countries like Macedonia, Bosnia, and Montenegro post fairly frequently, I bet we'd see Kosovo pop up from time to time.
>>
>>58148502
Why is Berkshire so rare? I see that lots of people don't have it. Might pop down to Reading soon and post with the flag there.
>>
>>58148714
there are like two that post regularly in /balk/, and one (who may be one of them) that posts very rarely on /pol/. They have a ton of diaspora posters though. Montenegro and Macedonia post an absolute absurd amount considering their size and wealth.
>>

>>
>>58148843
Yeah I remember a Macedonian saying on /pol/ once a large amount of posts where him or his buddies, so I figured he found 4chan and encouraged all his friends to come here and they make up large percentage of those posts. Maybe something similar with Montenegro. All it takes it one person to dramatically decrease a countries rarity. There's this one Somalian who's been posting a ton on /pol/ and doing Q&A's (with timestamps), and he destroyed Somalia's rareness, same with a single British GMO worker working in Malawi.

I'd say it's more if a country has an established internet culture or not. Austrians and the Swiss, for instance, are rich as fuck, but the people there are pretty technophobic, and as a result Austria is pretty rare while countries even smaller than it like Finland are practically a quarter of most threads.

Yeah Gabon used to pop up quite a bit which had to be the same guy (they're a central African country with a pop. of 1.7 million after all), but I haven't seen it in a while. Ethiopia you would think would be more common considering it has a pop. of 94 million (regardless of how undeveloped it is), but I haven't seen it in forever.

With all this proxyposting and rare devaluing, which flag do you use to mentally judge whether a collector is a newfag, /flag/?

Personally I use Comoros - hasn't posted in ages

Also if people have saved certain flags, like Niue, that makes them likely to be new as well because the recent posts from these countries have all been Proxy King and yet they saved them

Editing the script isn't the hard part, the hard part is to organize the regions. For example a solution would be to create folders within the country folders. But someone has to organize those folders. It's a hard job to figure out which city is part of which region for every country.

Ditto.

Speaking of austism, glossed and pixelated all of the US cities I could find to replace the old ones on my map. Here's the lot if anyone has the same gloss urge. Might submit them once everything's up and running again.
>>
>>58150991
Right now, I have it set up to check to see if the user's region is a city, so it involves looping through a list. That way, the user only needs to set their region and they can choose whether they want to use their city or just their region. I'm thinking a list in perhaps a text file that is set up something like this

"United States"; "Boston"; "Massachusetts"
So "Country"; "City"; "Region"

When the script reaches the onFlagsLoad() function, it would call that text file (perhaps even loading the file on start on and keeping it in memory to lessen the communication with the server) and parse through it, searching for entries which contain the poster's country. It then moves those entries into a second list, representing cities in the poster's country.

Once it has gone through the first list, it will then go through the second, attempting to match the region the user has set with the city-region pair in the entry. 1/2
>>
>>58151519
Have you glossed savannah/Tybee?
Those are my flags. I'd like them to get fixed up
>>
>>58150991
>>58151550
2/2
Once a match is made, the script will set that region as a separate variable (right now, I call it "regionSuper" to differentiate with the "region" variable). The script then loads that flag as well as the user's region which they set, their city in this case.
>>
>>58151234
You can download as zip from github and it will give you everything, from there you can start putting the flags in proper folders according to region.
For fun you could go quite deep with the UK, by doing England Scotland, Wales and NI first.

Unless someone has a better idea of course.

It would only require a single line to be added to the text file for each city flag added. You could always make people who submit flags type everything up for you so it's just a matter of copying and pasting on your end

Oceania will be a much, and unfortunately mostly proxies, I saw a UK guy saying he likes to post as Palau occasionally to get all the "rare!" replies.

>>
>>58153478
I'll just leave it out of any regional folder for now, then.
>>
>>58153430
Well, it's pretty complicated. The federal government had a very long, brutal history with the natives and most reservations exist west of the Mississippi River. The Iroquois nation is very small, while the largest reservation is owned by the Navajo in Arizona/Utah/Colorado/New Mexico. It's pictured.

In terms of autonomy, Article 1 Section 8 of our Constitution states that Congress has the power to regulate commerce with the Indian Tribes. Taken implicitly, Congress deals with the Indians (though the Bureau of Indian Affairs deals with them, it just can't make laws).

The tribes have sovereignty over their reservation. They have a full police force, hospitals, and a government where they elect legislative and executive members. Their laws apply within their jurisdiction just like states. However, tribes are not exactly like a sovereign state. They're more like versions of states in that they cannot conduct foreign affairs or print currency.

Fuck, forgot the picture.

Also worth mentioning is that those who are registered with their tribe and work/live on Indian land are exempt from federal/state taxes. Indians may also hunt and fish without licenses and can hunt certain things (bald eagles) that others can't. They're also immune to certain aspects of law, for example, in Inyo County v. Paiute Shoshone, the US Supreme Court ruled that search and seizure protection did not apply on reservations due to the right of Indians to make their own law. It gets pretty complicated, but that should be the skinny.

Eritrea is muslim AFAIK.

Also, calling Germany protestant is rather funny. The difference is 0,5%. You might want to create extra layers for countries with huge minorities.
>>
>>58163481
>Didn't know France was more Catholic than Protestant, though.

Our fault.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Siege_of_Paris_(1590)

>After repeated failures to take the capital city of Paris, Henry IV converted to Catholicism, reportedly declaring that "Paris is well worth a Mass".

He's coloured a lot of east Asia grey for "atheism".

While Atheism is not a religion in itself, it still a belief, just like the religions.

Marking them as Non-Religious is just fine though.
>>
>>58163852
Atheism is not a belief, it is a lack of belief.

Only gnostic atheism holds a belief.
>>

You may argue about Germany or Netherlands but countries like Estonia Czech Republic and China have massive amounts to non-believers (70-80%) to ignore them

Lack of belief in anything higher is still a belief in that, making it a belief.

I've trekked across parts of the Navajo Nation on backpacking trips before. what shocked me was that they actually had an amazing public works department and were building really nice new roads with all this brand new heavy equipment. Which was funny because once you got off the roads, it was literally all desert except for a few small encampments and one major """town""" Beautiful natural land though I highly recommend it.

>they have a """sacred""" mountain that "the white man stole from us"
>get it back once the reservation was founded
>place a fucking radio tower on top of it despite their religion saying it shouldn't be touched

pic fuggin related; what most of the reservation looks like
