Man i just saw The Return Of Slade and its amazing how funny and spot on was all the deal with the clown. The writers were literally saying fuck you to all of /co/ who still critize this show saying how fun the original used to be compare to the new one and how we are not the Demographic of this series.

As of issue 1, I must say I'm on Carol's side.
So far Ulysses has been used to stop huge cosmic threats, they haven't gone full Minority Report yet. Tony is blaming Ulysses for Rhodey's death even though all he did was provide intel for where Thanos would be.
There is nothing wrong with using a precog to try and avoid disasters as long as you don't infringe on people's civil rights (and let's face it, 99% of threats in the MU come from pre-established villains, not innocents). If the predictions...

Couldn't possibly care less about this retarded event.

They sort of homaged the Fantastic Four
My friend said it best. "Why didn't we see these four horsemen fight the X-Men?"
Why is MTV showing Ren & Stimpy right now?
I don't know why.
However, it will also be airing tomorrow morning.
Probably from enraged parents that are complaining that the show was airing on nickelodeon.
Where living in different time anon, cartoons can't have obvious adult themes or even good gross out gags/effects, everyone has to be sugarcoated in noodle arms and pudgy faces in order to pass the censors

Honestly I don't think anyone on the current Avengers roster could touch him. Thor and Hulk have been heavily nerfed

I need convincing to get past the first bit of Frank Miller's Daredevil with Klaus Janson.
The characters communicate like golden age heros without any actual personality. I'm sure its gotta get better but I'm just turned off by the first few issues with Spider-Man.
yeah you should skip forward to when Miller took over writing duties. Janson isn't a very good writer.
Were those issues not written by Miller? Miller started as an artist first and later started writing.
>>83471091
>Janson isn't a very good writer.
Janson didn't write those issues. Roger McKenzie did.

That's a stab vest? I thought it was ballistics, in which case I guess getting shot in the gut is more survivable than the lungs/heart. Might also be for mobility.

Both are probably more practicable for her Parkour style of policing. Not really an issie, almost all policemen get to have custom made uniform tailored for their species.
>>stab vest with no belly
Protect the essential while maintaining mobility. The gut can take a few stab. Most of the vital are still protected.
Who is your favorite superhero and why?
Nightcrawler for me because he looks cool as fuck and he's a charismatic son of a bitch.
Even though people thought he looked weird and unattractive and downright scary, he showed me that people can still be attracted to you and gravitate towards you if you prove them wrong and just be lovable as fuck.
Dude is a teleporting, swashbuckling demon pirate that still pulls bitches. That's rad as fuck to me.
Just saw him in Apocalypse and he was good.
He was funny (I'm blue!) but I kind of want to see more of his flirtatious and fun side rather than more of "I look weird boo hoo."
Also he has a personal army of cute, adorable mini-me's.
Nightcrawler is the fucking man.

I like his goofy enemies and I really Like Billy as a boyscout type of character, even in the new52 reboot where he's a brat. Does anyone where a less crappier version of Cartoon Network airs somewhere in the international world?
After Yoursday, the CN Emojis, and the way Turner Broadcasting US treats episodes that are supposed to be unaired poorly ruined the experience for me, I'm looking for a location where they don't air Cartoon Network like that. Maybe in the UK?
>>83470405
Guyana and Suriname CN only had rights to shows before 2001 so all they can show is anything before 2001
They stopped doing the emojis
>>83470405
CN UK is pretty behind with everything in comparison to Murican CN. We also have a lot of repeats airing
And now, here's lapis lazuli with the news. Lapis? Edition

Neither comic [Tintin in the Land of the Soviets, Tintin in the Congo] was available in English until decades later, and it was then that I read them with a mixture of horror, amusement, and embarrassment. In one frame in Congo, an African tribe worships Tintin.
In another, he resolves a dispute over a straw hat, leading a member of the tribe to say: “White master very fair. Him give half hat to each one. Him very good white.”

Google says The Atlantic. Anyway, this gem:
>When I left Mumbai for the U.S. in 1998, I bequeathed my old, dog-eared, tattered collection—by now almost complete—to my younger brother in a moment of largesse. Those volumes had been amassed carefully over years in newspaper-recycling shops that doubled as used bookstores (a casualty, alas, of the post-paper era). Giving them up, along with my Asterix comics, books on cricket, and volumes of fiction was, at the time, wrenching. Still, I...

Yes?
Herge himself was ashamed of his first two Tintin volumes. He quickly came to realize that swallowing what he was told about other places and peoples without bothering to do any study or thought for himself was a recipe for disaster, and a major motivator in his becoming so focused on research and detail on his works beyond that rough start.
You don't have to be some essjaydubya to acknowledge this as a non-controversial part of Herge's development as an artist (and, to some degree, as a person).

I disagree. That doesn't look very nice at all.
Why are all the relationships in this show so unhealthy?
These two are in a codependent relationship. They can't function at all without the other. And Garnet had the nerve to blab to Pearl about being independent?
Then there's also Steven and Connie who are probably going to start dating before Connie made a friend her age other than Steven.
And if they push Lars and Sadie again, that will be one super toxic relationship.
>>83469826
What's the difference between an unhealthy co-dependent relationship and a healthy co-dependent relationship?
>>83469849
I don't think there is such a thing as a healthy codependent relationship by definition. It's the excessive emotional or psychological reliance of your partner.
An interdependent relationship is much healthier. As each person is more able to handle their issues on their own without the constant need of their partner.
>>83469849
A co-dependent relatiomship can't be healthy
