Yes. You should definitely take advantage of that.
Those volumes are #1 - #50. It's worth your time, if only to get a passing familiarity with one of the more iconic indie series of the 80's/90's. At least read through the first volume. The last batch of issues pre-High Society give a pretty good indication of where the series is headed. If it doesn't seem like your cup of tea, don't bother with #25+.

It's great. Doesn't really pick up until the second volume and yes, there is some weird shit in some of the later volumes when Sim started using the comic to vent his personal beliefs and frustrations, but that's a tiny part of the whole and all in all, Cerebus is one of the best comics you'll read.

It really was a show that I think didn't get the time and respect it deserved by the network as well as /co/. Even I admit that it took me a little while to get into the show because it looked a little childish to me and I was completely wrong. Fell in love with all the characters, particularly Hater.

This is just a great first issue by writer/artist Howard Chaykin. Oozing with confidence on every page, with a cool little story. Definitely going to be following this.

Hello /co/csuckers!
This will be my first storytime ever so I feel like an introduction of what this comic means to me is in order. Please bear with me here.
The Road to Damnation, by Garth Ennis and Clayton Crain, was the first modern comic I read in my life. I stumbled across it when I was about 13-14 years old and I remember perfectly how impressive it was for me.
Up until then I had only read Spiderman and Daredevil's original run (stuff from the 60s), in a collected edition that was also in black and white, so the art and the colors in this graphic novel just straight off blew my mind, and how extreme Ennis's story was compared to the 60s cheesyness was really something else. I found the concept of both Angels and Demons being tyrannical pieces of shit rather interesting. No wonder this was written by an atheist...
I don't see anyone talking about it today and it makes me sad. I don't really know how well it's regarded in /co/ or if it's just considered "edgy" in a condescending manner (which might be the case considering how a lot of people react to Ennis's work), but it holds a really special place in my memory and I will always think of it as a masterpiece.
I hope I do it justice and don't fuck up too much today... Now, if you're ready and willing, sit back and enjoy the ride(pun absolutely intended)
