We finished up with Luke and Danny's original series, but by popular demand, we're going through the entire Deadly Hands of Kung Fu magazine!
They're a bit of a different format than comic issues, so you guys say otherwise, I'll do the entire issues, save the ads. That'll count these pictures and the interviews.
Mods, may I ask for a warning in case these are against the rules?
Speaking of Shang-Chi, does anybody know if the physical Omnibus was good quality? Binding, page quality, and the like?
Shang-Chi's got them brock eyes in the fourth panel.
And did the Omni actually put the name "Fu Manchu" in it, or did they go with the retconned name that was in Secret Avengers?
And that guy's neck is broken.

For those of you who aren't aware, the "Sir Denis Nayland Smith" that is namedropped with the subtlety of a brick was the main character of the original Fu Manchu novels.
As I understand it, Shang-Chi was basically fanfiction.

Awesome. Rudy Nebres's run as the artist in the main serial (if I'm not mistaken, he starts at issue #9 and stays on—with a gap here and there—until issue #24) is some of my all-time favorite comics art, regardless of genre or time period.

A lot of the old text articles can be unintentionally funny, though. Just a whole lot of "bullshido" (impractical martial arts techniques), from a time when there were lots of charlatans trying to make quick money off the kung fu craze.

I remember reading an interview with—I can't remember now if it was Fred Williamson or Jim Brown—but anyway, he said that Jim Kelly was quite possibly the worst actor he ever worked with. Not in terms of personality (he was a cool dude, apparently), but in terms of acting ability.
Liked him in Enter the Dragon, though.
