OP here, I just watched it, hence the thread. The unique camera shots were really amazing, cast was mostly great, plot was complex and well made even though it was hard to tell the point of it. Only real complaint is that they poured the creepy stalker on a bit thick sometimes.

As a die hard TLK fan, it wasn't good. It's possible it will be better than what they premiered with, but unlikely.
Plot isn't too bad but I think it's the characters that make it awful. The animation is also jarringly bad at times, like just one scene with Simba and Kion walking it was just awful with their odd proportions.

It was decent. The first season is meh, but the second season has an amazing upgrade to its quality. If you want to watch it, watch it completely. If you want to watch only good episodes, watch season two.
