Hey /co/. It's been a long time since a read a DC comic book, the last thing i read was Trinity War like 2 o 3 years ago when it came out. I used to be a really big fan, and be up to date with the comics, but after Flashpoint i never picked up a single comic again (i wasn't into that rebbot thing). But, i've heard and read that things are getting good now, and that the New 52 suppousedly ended in June after.. Convergence i think it's called, also i hear that there would be (or idk if it already happen) a fight between the AM and Darkseid. Anyway, i wanna...

You should probably read Forever evil and pick up from there
>>78260687
There's been good DC comics ever since the start of the New 52. What characters or genres are you interested in specifically?
>>78260724
Honestly, I would recommend Trinity War too. It gets shit on only because the build-up to it ended up being completely different from what we got out of the event, and it leads directly into Forever Evil, but also spins out into the Blight War arc of Justice League Dark which is pretty great and lets you read the Phantom Stranger series which is REALLY legitimately great.
Alright /co/, have you ever thought up any AUs that would be interesting?
I just thought of an AU where Supes landed in Gotham and was adopted by the Wayne family.
I also had something involving Supes somehow landing somewhere in Japan instead of America.

/co/ is so full of casuals that i don't know if this is supposed to be a joke or not.
AU where Superman has his Clark Kent persona act as a sleazy and unscrupulous reporter so he has a way to vent out his less savory thoughts and frustrations.

woah, that's cool. Never realized mark's name had arkham in it, kinda neat coincidence
What would this video be like if it was made today?
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2vK3Oz6U77s
Pacifica and Ford would be in it
Uh
the same.
>Mabel does something bad but she gets away with it
>The second Dipper tries to do the same thing he gets punished severely
It was there all along, Ukinojoe was right and I didn't even know it.
Can we take a moment to appreciate how great Mark Hamill is?
At a glance he actually looks a bit like Bowie there.
I can't wait for The Killing Joke movie.

He was a genuine qt 3.14 in the first Star Wars.
New short interview with Henry Cavill and Ben Affleck about BvS and their versions of their characters.

Was it rape? Also, showing a 9-years old boy not only naked, but masturbating on TV is appropiate?
>>78254401
no, it wasn't rape.and yes, it is.
>>78254401
The answers are respectively no and yes. For the same reason, it's not real.
>tfw we'll never see Wendy masturbate

Who's the bigger douche? Who's more sympathetic?

Most of Bojacks problems are of his own making.
Most of Venture's problems are based on the misfortune of his birth.
One goes on adventures and risks his life.
The other just stands around.
Only one has touching moments of breakdown and pure whining.
When the other one has a nervous breakdown, the audience is supposed to have a big fat laugh.
Basically they are the same, but one of their shows is melodramatic egocentrism and the other tells a story with things happening in it.
>>78253024
Eh. I somewhat disagree with the second part. I mean, Rusty has shitty luck but a lot of his problems are also caused by him being an asshole.
Also Bojack, unlike Rusty, thankfully never reproduced, so he couldn't project his shitty childhood and hangups on his kids. So he at least has that.
Who's to say she isn't evil? We know nothing about this character other than she has a human fetish. Remember that the gems are wanted fugitives after all.
>>78252628
It would be unexpected if she were revealed to be evil. If it's revealed she simply had a manipulative plan, that would make much more sense. Manipulation, it could be argued, can be necessary to further "good" priorities.
>>78252628
Being a Xeno scum made that thing automatically evil and a menace for the entire humanity.
>>78252628
She led the rebellion for the prolonged existence of earth and sacrificed herself to create Steven.
Since Steven is half Rose and a very nice kid, I doubt she could be so bad.
Not to mention she is loved by all who knew her.
Why are we stuck in the "Modern Era" of comics that started in 1985?
It's been 30 years. What has to be done in order to achieve the label of a new era?
What is the next era?
Someone has to make a comic that has as much impact as Watchmen or DKR had when they came out in the 80's
>>78251847
There is no next era. Comics are dead. Long live TV dramas and superhero movies.
>>78251929
This, comics are literally a meme hobby. Don't bother.
Totally not the movie
Nope, no movie influence at all.
>>78250752
>Yondu
Fucking how? Does Marvel even read there own comics at this point.
>>78250752
They look kinda cool.
Ads in cartoons.
Hard mode: I don't mean references or wordplays on already existing products, we're talking real ads on real products by real companies.

Do I need to watch Arrow to watch this? Cause I hear Arrow is pretty shit
Yes.
Not at all.
Who was your favorite character and what was your favorite episode?
I only liked Hey Arnold as a kid for the music... the show itself was kinda average aside from a few 'special' episodes.
>>78244106
Gerald, Pheobe andArnold
Helga on the Couch,
helga was the best because she seemed to be the darling of the writers and got the most development
my favorites were always the ones where arnold brings out the good in a character that would have been nothing more but a villain in any other children's show
I think arnolds ability to this, and the shows dedication to showing that seemingly bad people have depth, is the shows strength and what makes it feel more mature
the movie shown none of this and I think that's why nobody liked it, asides from it not being the anticipated jungle plot
