Saw BvS last night, not sure if people still care - but if you still have questions, fire away.

is the piss scene real

Who are the best characters?
batman fucking kills in this movie
>super hearing
>super smell
>super reflexes
>able to meditate to heal faster
>fully trained by a magical mystical kung fu dude named stick
>can see the world on fire, in the fucking dark
how is he not a super hero with super powers again?????
the show never acknowledges this! the characters never point out specifically one of his super powers when he uses them, and daredevil...

He's basically Batman with perma Detective Mode and less gadgets. Captain America is more superpowered than him.
>>81013582
but... people do address it? especially Claire like all the time
>>81013582
It seems like you're just getting bogged down with labels.
Does the show really need to spoon feed you the fact that he has special abilities every few seconds?
Did they honestly, unironically believe it was a good idea to take the man's dog?
I mean, you just don't do that shit right?
>>81013247
It worked though, s'all I'm sayin'
I just wanna know where the dog is now. Hope Frank gets him back.
>>81013323
Writers forgot, probably.
>>81013311
I dont' think pissing off the Punisher 'works'.
You look at your phone. You giggle. You quickly tap some sort of message onto the screen. Clearly you are in conversational exchange with a friend. You willingly fabricate this appearance of electronic popularity to avoid the pitiful gaze of fellow diners who arrived in pairs.
Phones really are a god send to the social awkward loners
>>81013233
Where's the fucking joke, Ronnie?
>>81013280
Or are they just a new avenue to realize how lonely you truly are.
Yes you can use it to create the facade you're not a complete loser, but every time you look at your phone it simply confirms your lie to you.
No Voicemail, No New Messages, A superfluous contact list only containing family and those preinstalled service numbers. You may fool those around you, but you can't fool your phone, and your phone won't ever let you live it down.
>The great Cap himself has no qualms about tossing a loki mind controlled thug off the side of a hellicarrier. He has killed plenty
>Hawkeye is a literal shield sniper and has busted bunkers full of people with explosive arrows
>Thor was wringing necks in TDW
>Widow openly shoots thugs
>IM gladly puts down terrorists and extremis soldiers.
Matt seems like one of the only heroes in the MCU with that code. The...

Because refusing to kill bad guys is dumb. And Matt's really inconsistent at his rule.
I think it's because of the level of threat they're up against. Matt fights street level criminals in lower stake situations, so his choice not to kill is easier to uphold. The Avengers are literally fighting to save the world from destruction.

Drone
Also OP, the Avengers are just glorified cops
OK /co/ how would you make the DCEU?
Bring inEdgar Wrightto direct a newquadrilogy for each of the Trinity + a JL movie.Get Speed Weed in as screenwriter.Cast Grant Gustin and Stephen Amell as their CW counterparts. Arrow shows up in Gotham; Flash in Metropolis. WW needs all the screentime she can get so she gets an Aquaman cameo.
a retro Justice League would be neat
First film is Superman v Braniac. Second is GL. Abin Sur came to earth to stop brainy, failed, Hal gets his ring an immediately gets sent to Oa, asks to get, the guardians tell him Earth was saved by Superman. There that's all the connection a film needs
Third film is Flash. I give him the show origin, he's "Crated" by Thawne who infiltrated STAR labs because they have the salvaged Brainiac tech that he uses to power the particle accelerator. Fourth movie is Batman. He has had little Easter eggs in the first three films. Satellite, Ferris air joint owned...

Oh hey, look. Hints of plot advancement.
>>81012038
You're only noticing this now? We've seen progress since the first pages of the chapter
This kind of smacks of "oh I forgot this ought to be an issue, thanks for reminding me, Twitter readers". Kinda feels like something Jeph Jacques would do.
What Simpsons characters do you think haven't gotten enough screentime/been thoroughly explored?
I'd have to say Chief Wiggum, Maggie, maybe Barney, Sideshow Mel.
>>81011013
>Sideshow Mel
Oh God no, he's one of the most annoying characters in the entire show.
Jimbo / Dolph / Kearney. Would be interesting to find out more about their background and home lives.
Miss Hoover?

New pic
Oh, there's Native American, too? Regular variety or mystical wise shaman, I wonder.
>>81010432
Looks pretty cool.

>Regular variety or mystical wise shaman
Come on, we already know.
He's a decent writer, his Batman is bad, and his fans are the worst kind of cancer
>>81009865
>his Batman is bad
I can't speak for the "Bat epic " but Batman Gothic is really good
Grant getting to do his own thing, with his own characters is great. Grant taking pre-established characters and being allowed to do whatever he wants only ends badly. I didnt like what he did for X-Men, and I didnt like Batman.

I'm a big fan of Morrison but holy hell sometimes he can take a character and just....go off the fucking deep end with them. I recall him doing shit with Fantastic Four that just didn't sit right.
That being said I absolutely loved All-Star superman. But i'm not a life long superman fan and its one of the few supes stories i really enjoy.
caveat....'from before you were born'.
And by that I mean when they were in their prime, when the stuff that made you love their work came out.
For me, no contest. Jack Kirby. Loved his sci-fi and outer space shit. New Gods, Fantastic Four, the forever people. Nothing has quite beat him in the imagination department for me.

Dave Sim
>>81008346
Yeah, that's some nice lettering.
But all the truly great art of Cerebus comes from Gerhard, not Sim.
>>81008402
I think Sim is a god tier layout, fight and comedy artist.
He's also a masterful cartoonist with his lettering as you point out. I absolutely love Gerhard as well, but to say that Sim's layouts aren't the driving force behind the art of Cerebus is bullshit.
Anyone got a good rip for this?
Also general Gorillaz thread.
bump b/c i've been aching for this for ages
>inb4 just buy it
i'm_broke_nigga.gif
has any new art been released lately?
>tfw still have your physical copy from the middle school years
feels good man
Do you guys ever have dreams where you have superpowers like your favorite characters or are straight up your favorite characters?
I know people talk about having flying dreams but I've definetely have ones where I have Magneto's abilities and can levitate and redirect metal. And pic related as today I had a dream where I was the MCU version of Zemo and took down and escaped from the Avengers. Shit made no sense but it was great.
All I ever get are sex dreams where I wake up right before the fucking happens.
So no?
Nope, I'm just here to show support to that awesoe Zemo costume.
>dat ass
So I've been out of the comic book game for a couple of years and I heard that the Ultimate Universe recently ended, but that some people survived? How did the universe end and who ended up surviving?
The Maker, Miles and his family/Ganke, Thor's Hammer as far as I know
>>81007112
No one good.
RIP in piece Bombshell and Jessica Drew.
>>81007206
>Thor's Hammer
Why would Mjolnir survive without ultimate Thor or Odin?
Is Ultimate Mjolnir not powered by the Ultimate Odinforce?
We're going to have to try and discuss and digest DC Rebirth news while the BvS shitstorm is raging and raging all around.
Good luck to us all and godspeed
>>81006915
So what about it do you want to discuss? Is there some new development I may not have heard yet or are you just looking for a general discussion of the entire event?
New discussion topic: Brainiac 2 > Brainiac 5
Prove me wrong.
There's already a thread >>81003005
