I'll be in Las Vegas for three weeks (I'm from CA) and am looking for good restaurants that aren't tourist traps, buffets, or plain overpriced.
So far I've eaten in Izakaya Go in Chinatown and I've enjoyed the two or three times I've eaten there.

those pop-culture chef cook books are ALWAYS terrible. you're better off getting a cookbook from a brand company like Kraft or Kellogg's.
He's selling a book that he didn't write. They're selling a book they want you to actually USE.
You're paying for his name brand usage, ON TOP OF the recipes they bought from people, the food companies that make cook books will sell at cost.
So whatever, just most of the recipes in it WILL be trash. They're just selling his image, so they're worried about the food being appetizing more then functional. You'll find 3 part recepies for horderves that feed 8 people, and need a double boiler and a dutch oven, plus some weird ingredients you've never bought in your life, let alone find int eh grocery store.
