I'll be in Las Vegas for three weeks (I'm from CA) and am looking for good restaurants that aren't tourist traps, buffets, or plain overpriced.
So far I've eaten in Izakaya Go in Chinatown and I've enjoyed the two or three times I've eaten there.
Any recs? Thanks in advance.

In other news, I actually would. When I was a kid my friends and I collected those black carpenter ants and made actual chooclate covered ants. It started my fascination with insects as a source of protein. They weren't half bad.

those pop-culture chef cook books are ALWAYS terrible. you're better off getting a cookbook from a brand company like Kraft or Kellogg's.
He's selling a book that he didn't write. They're selling a book they want you to actually USE.
You're paying for his name brand usage, ON TOP OF the recipes they bought from people, the food companies that make cook books will sell at cost.
So whatever, just most of the recipes in it WILL be trash. They're just selling his image, so they're worried about the food being appetizing...
