how many days do you eat meat in a row /ck/?

I was talking to my friend, and he said he couldn't remember the last time he went a day without meat. kinda disgusting.

I skip it every other day

Many days.
I'm a foreigner to the US and, for cultural reasons, I don't eat nearly as much meat as most of my neighbours would do. I do seem to have more dairy than them, though.
>>

Errr...
>NOT many days
Fixed.
Out of the twenty-one meals in a week, breakfasts, lunches and dinners combined, I eat meat at three or four of them. So about 81% of my meals are vegetarian friendly.
>>
I eat maybe once every two months or so.

Hey
That's a pretty good meme
Lurk moar new friend

Who else on /ck/ is tired of the food truck meme?

Don't really know how it is in other places but here in Melbourne they've actually convinced people to visit 'street food festivals' and pay equal price for food out of a truck you could get in a normal restaurant.

Flyovers need not apply

Hey /ck/ bros,

I just moved into my first apartment and obtained my first microwave. My first electricity bill just rolled in and I was shocked by how high it was. I only really use electricity for lights, tv, computer/gaming console, and air-conditioner. Then it hit me--the microwave.

I cook most of my meals in the microwave--breakfast and dinner at least, I usually go out for lunch. I mostly eat hotdogs at home and they require exactly 40 seconds to cook (30 seconds for the dog, 10 seconds for the bun). Times the number of hotdogs I eat per day, this means I'm running the microwave for 240 seconds a day.

So question number one: is 240 seconds/day enough to rack up the electricity bill? If not, my second question is whether I'm being charged for unused seconds on my microwave--like a track phone. I can only add 1 through 9 minutes of cooking to my microwave at a time, so I usually clear the remaining 20 seconds from the microwave when I cook my next hotdog.

Pic related is my microwave--its a sunbeam if that helps.

>so I usually clear the remaining 20 seconds from the microwave when I cook my next hotdog.

yeah, it racks up electricy usage while the timer is on. so even if you don't use all the seconds, you're still being charged
>>
Or your rates went up or your ac is working harder with summer months rolling in?
>>
>>7770199
Is it billed per minute then? How can I fix the over use?

What's your favorite type of dessert/sweet?

>cold/hot pies?
>ice cream/frozen treats?
>cake/cookies/brownies?
>pastries?

I love cold/frozen pies way too much. Edward's has gotten too much money out of me over the years. I've tried really hard to eat a whole pie in a day but the best I can do is two days due to involuntary stopping. If I could I wouldn't stop eating until it was gone. I'm working up to that though.

publix's premium ice cream blows any other ice cream out of the water IMO

bryer's went to complete shit within the past few years, it tastes like the lowest of low quality swill and costs twice as much as other brands for half the amount

No Publix where I live :(

blue bell's pretty good but I've also found chunks of pure butter inside my scoops when I've bought it before.

I've also heard some wicked nasty stuff about the Blue Bell production/distribution factories, it's kinda put me off of it

Sup /ck/. I have achieved a new level of fat. I couldn't choose between Lays Barbeque Chips and Fritos Corn Chips, so I decided to open both and go back and forth, sometimes combining the two. I am both ashamed and proud of myself. Point is, what two snacks would you mix?

I had a ton of conflict with my roommates over all things cooking - like cleaning, shared food, whose was what in the fridge, where the pots/pans/silverware were going, etc. Eventually, in disgust, I just stopped eating at home so I didn't have to be part of the drama.

Now, I eat out/order in nearly every single night, with a few exceptions for the occasional shitty, microwaved meal or something I can eat straight out of the fridge uncooked. It's been this way for two-three years.

I'd like to be more open to cooking, because it's a pain in the ass when I'm at home drunk and the only option is pizza or Chinese.

What are some simple, easy clean up dishes that can be made for one person with like a single pot or pan, and leave minimal to no leftovers? I would also preferably like to not have a ton of ingredients sitting around in my fridge - they will get used.

Even just general ideas about dealing with shitty roommates when it comes to food would help.

They're great roommates besides this, and at this point in time, keeping roommates who will actually pay rent on time and not deal drugs out of my house is more important than kicking them out for cooking problems.
