Dude, my posts usually take an hour to hour and a half just to draw a panel.
On top of that I cut a lot of corners, what I usually turn out for my updates is what most people would consider a rough sketch used as line-art with color hap-haphazardly tossed behind it to distract form how bad the line-art is. On top of that I don't proof read my posts all that often because I'm trying to keep from spending too much time between updates.
Honestly better examples of art QMs that I know of would be Alchemy Anon Hijacker and Inept.
Alchemy keeps a good balance between art quality Speed and proof reading.
Inept is very fast with her art or at lest was before her upgrade. (I need to catch up on her quests honestly.)
And Hijacker is a good example of quality, finished looking art with smooth line art in a good and reasonable amount of time. (although Hijacker's proofreading is almost as bad as mine.)

First quest I was around for since beginning of and it really got me into reading more CYOAs in general.
I can only hope I become as good of a writer, its a work in progress
Where did Noir CYOA go? I was interested, there where guns, and our character carried a .45 STOPPIN POWA.
Though whoever was writing that needs to improve his story telling skills. Can't really use commands the player hasn't even been introduced to. It's like trying to modify a variable without creating it first.
Think of an open world RPG, Fallout. Before you did anything, there was a short tutorial stage. Something that explained most if not all the controls, and things that can be done. Fallout NV despite being a better game, had a worst tutorial than Fallout 3. Like the player shooting targets in safety, before being introduced to VATS and shooting a roach, again in safety, before the whole break out thing and you have to actually fight.
Anyway, whoever was writing that. Have a small, quick case or stage or something that explains all the things we can do. Like the patrol stages in LA Noir. And have a better way to keep track of information and such.

Even if that is the case, which i don't doubt. You should still have a simple, intuitive, linear, tutorial in every game.
Ignoring, muh endings and muh biojews, Mass Effect almost requires you to have played the last games, but the tutorial in each game is very well done.
Don't get me wrong, Fallout NV is the best fallout there is, better than 3 or 4. And since most people have played fallout 3, before NV, it's not hard to pick up anything. But even with that in mind, the tutorial in the game isn't very good.

I saw that one post by Inept several months back about wanting to make her quests more like the original show in feel. And I wondered hard about how I would go about doing that with my own quest.
So I made my ponies extra pony. They take friendship very seriously, and like cuddles and boops.
Beyond that, I pretty much just did some basic character building technique that involves starting with a trope of a character, and making some changes, thinking through how they would react to things and why, what sort of life they might have lived to get that way, just mentally fleshing them out. Keeping them consistent is the real challenge. Of course this isn't necessarily enough to have likable characters. I think in that regard, I might have just gotten lucky and picked the right base characters to work with.
