Alright guys, tomorrow is the day I begin my adventure. The other thread died out and was archived. Wish me luck
> story
Alright /x/ seeing how you guys like abandoned places and paranormal I decided to do something.
> April 15, 2015
Remember this date.
> what will happen?
I live in a small town near a large wooded area. There are a bunch of abandoned houses, acres full of trees, shacks, burned down houses, (this is redneck territory, there have been murders and other horrible events in this area. Other stories I heard are that there is a bomb shelter from the cold war due to people being afraid of Russians nuking). I will explore these houses, take pictures, record, even time stamp some of the places I've been.
> what's with the date?
I will post everything I got from my little adventure. I get no signal there so I will get as much as I can every day.
> will I deliver?
Most likely, I got nothing better to do and this is the only option I got to contribute to /x/
(Side note: I have school and I'm on my last year so I will be busy with school. I may deliver late, or early.)
> what if I'm murdered or dead?
Check Texas news, my sister has access to my accounts so she will update you guys on what happened and post all pictures.
>--------------------------------------------------------------
I will begin this either Friday or Saturday
This is my first time posting in this board and I find it pretty interesting. This is also the only board in which I can contribute
(If nothing good is found, I will update you guys on what happened and upload anyway)
>I will post updates in a min if anyone missed them from last thread
>>16008299
> UPDATE:
One of my friends lives out in the woods, she said she might join depending on how things will go. So far outs will be only me and her.
She knows some locations and a cemetery. One thing I heard from her was that there was this hole behind her house that she saw years ago, the next day a fence was put out but there wasn't anybody nearby or any houses.
Broken down house a couple mins away, she sees a light at night but the house is so broken down it looks abandoned, she's curious to see who lives there. 6/10 she might bail out but will give me locations and let me explore her backyard (about an acre or 2).
>>16008303
> UPDATE 2
everything is going smoothly, however I got good news and bad news
> BAD NEWS
Everything will be delayed till April 22.two day isn't looking like it's going to be enough. Delivery will be late.
> GOOD NEWS
I will deliver the pics from this Saturday and Sunday on Wednesday. The rest will be delivered the following Monday.
>--------------------------------------------
Everything is ready. I'll try my best to get creepy shots. I will risk some of my life but not to a point of death, (probably brake something or scars). Even if nothing good is found I'll post dead animals and bones I find on the way.
I'll see you guys in a couple of days, try to keep this one alive until I deliver.
> my last word if I am kill
I really hope this inspires people to go out more and explore their surroundings. All I see is people post old creepy stuff, old content, and it gets boring. For me this adds thrill because I get to experience it
So as we all know, advanced aliens exist and are visiting Earth regularly. They haven't publicly made their presence known and to the average Joe, it appears they don't influence human affairs very much. One idea is that the galactic federation forbids advanced aliens from heavily interfering with human affairs. This seems to make sense as they could easily screw up the balance of Earth and hamper development.
However, if there is no policy in place that says aliens can't heavily interfere with human affairs, logic would seem to imply that these aliens would try to influence humans for their own goals, and obviously they wouldn't want to make that public knowledge.
So, my questions is: Is there a policy that says aliens should not heavily influence human affairs, OR does this policy not exist and aliens are heavily influencing human affairs in secrecy?
My opinion is the aliens watch us for something to happen, but we're not what they're looking for. It's possible that there's some emergent intelligence such as AI that they're waiting for, or some further along primate.
To wit; humans as they are aren't the end-game, and possibly the fact that to them we're as stupid as pigs are to us. They're waiting for something worthy of joining the party and that fact would really lead to some butthurt if true, so it's a secret. It could be that AI is forbidden and if singularity happens they're here to stop it. Who knows, but I don't believe that they're directly involved in our affairs outside of preventing planetary sterilization.
>>16025832
It's not like we're (mankind) is known for living in harmony with anything, let alone the planet or the people on it. Aliens probably see us as a disease, like, "Stay away from Earth, it has humans.."

The LaCrosse, Wisconsin Man-Bat
This encounter happened on Tuesday, Sept. 26, 2006, on Briggs Road near LaCrosse, Wisconsin around 9:30 pm to a 53-year old resident who prefers to be known only by his Cherokee name, Wohali, and the man's 25-year old son. The creature they encountered was 6-7 feet tall with batlike, leathery wings with a span of 10-12 feet, long claws on it's feet and hands and a snarling expression on the face. It flew towards their windshield, stared at them and then swooped upwards into the night sky.
The creature "screamed" at them before sailing straight up into the air. Wohali stated that he did not know whether the creature had been on the road and then bounced up at them, or if it had been flying at the time it came at their car. He was sure the thing was a physical, actual creature, he said, but like nothing he had ever seen before. Their reaction? Immediate illness. In seconds, both became physically ill, and the son, who was driving, swerved and then pulled the truck over into the ditch so he could vomit. The son, who wishes his identity kept private, vomited six or seven times. Wohali retched, as well, and both remained sick for an entire week. The son was so frightened by the encounter that he refuses to discuss it. But Wohali told me he feels it's important for people to "know what is out there."
Wohali also described seeing "distended ribs, long sort of human legs with claws, huge bat-like wings with 'arms' sort of attached, I remember the teeth and the scream we heard was terrifying."
Wohali’s account and his sincerity convinced Godfrey that he had a “credible sighting” of something she has not heard described before. “He certainly has nothing to gain by making it up” — or talking about it, she said. “He believes the more he talks about it, the more power it gives the creature.”
Godfrey said she feels it is important that somebody record these experiences. The Man Bat of Briggs Road ranks right up there as far as notable weird experiences.
“I do think this sighting that Wohali had is an extremely interesting and exciting sighting,” Godfrey said. “I do think it should have some serious consideration given to it.”
There was another similar entity reported when a man and boy were searching for a lost dog. "They saw what they described as a 'lizard man' covered in brownish scales and very reptilian-looking. It did not have its mouth open or arms extended". Around the same time, a state DNR warden and separately, a group of highway workers saw what they described as a 'reptile man' on Hwy. 13 near Medford. It also possessed wings and was able to fly out of their view. The Medford spot was very near the Black River which winds up from LaCrosse!"
NOTE: since these sightings some people have suggested that this creature may have been a Mothman who appeared previous to several mysterious drownings in the LaCrosse area. You can find Linda Godfrey's website at The Beast of Bray Road and Hunting the American Werewolf Home Page.

The Skree Of Culloden
On the eve of a battle that changed Scotland’s history, a bizarre incident was a horrifying omen of the slaughter to follow. On 15 April 1746 at Culloden Moor in the Highlands, British troops prepared to engage the army of Charles Edward, the Stuart prince who sought to recover the British throne.
At the Scottish camp that night the air was suddenly filled with spine-chilling screams, and the troops saw a monstrous, harpy-like apparition hovering overhead. It resembled a great bird with leathery bat-like wings, burning red eyes – and the head of man. Later dubbed the skree, the creature seems to have been more than just a pre-battle hallucination. A reliable eyewitness was Lord George Murray, a general renowned for his level-headedness. The horrendous apparition eventually departed and was never seen again. The next day’s battle brought disaster for the Scots – with the skree had gone the hopes of the Young Pretender and the Stuart dynasty.

Is there any chance that the "supernatural" stuff described in the Bible really did happen? Old Testament or New, I'm just curious what you guys have to say about it
Obviously "The Bible" is not ONE book, but a collection, so some of the stories can be true while others can be false. But is it really possible that God used to communicate with people regularly and miraculous shit happened all the time, despite the fact that we haven't had documented shit like that happen since "Bible times"?
Most people here hate Christfags. So expect a lot of criticism.
I consider the Bible to be an account of things. Certainly inspired by God. But not dictated by God.
I think the WASPs who say it was all dictated by God are idiots. But I think some parts certain are dictated, specifically the Prophecies and other such writings.
>But is it really possible
If you've experienced any paranormal shit whatsoever you know it's possible.
>>16028413
>If you've experienced any paranormal shit whatsoever you know it's possible.
I don't know if I have, though. I've had deja vu, by which I mean something normal is happening and as it is happening I seem to remember having dreamed it in the past. That's the closest thing I've experienced to supernatural, and most people believe that can be explained with science.
Part of why I come to /x/ is because I want to badly to believe in supernatural stuff, but I haven't really experienced any so it's very difficult.
Not to be cliche, but seriously, I want to believe. I just haven't had anything happen to me that has convinced me.
>>16028391
I believe so. I believe in God because I've seen the Devil. Do yourself a favor and go to your closet, fall on your knees clasp your hands in prayer and beg The Lord Jesus Christ to forgive you for your sins and come into your heart and fill you with The Holy Spirit.
What the fuck is CERN trying to do with its particle collider exactly?
Between the 666 logo and the statue of "Shiva the Destroyer" sitting out front, I'm pretty sure it's nothing good, but does anyone have any theories?

They could be trying to merge the world of man and jinn since according to the Quran we live parallel but in different dimensions.
The qualifications to join a lodge vary from one jurisdiction to another, but some basic qualifications are common to all regular Masonic lodges:
You must believe in a Supreme Being.
You must be joining of your own free will.
Don’t let your dad, uncle, neighbor, or friend pressure you into joining. Join because you want to.
You must be a man.
You must be free-born.
The term “free-born” is a holdover from the days when slavery, indentured servitude, and bonding were common. It means that a man must be his own master, and not be bound to another man. That’s not a problem these days, but the language is retained because of its antiquity and a desire to retain the heritage of the fraternity.
You must be of lawful age. Depending on the Grand Lodge, this can be anywhere from 18 to 25.
You must come recommended by at least two existing Freemasons from the lodge you’re petitioning.
Masonry doesn’t care about your worldly wealth or social position. Both the bank’s president and the bank’s janitor can apply for membership, and they’re considered equally qualified.
You’ll be asked other important questions down the road, before you’re allowed to join a lodge:
Are you unbiased by friends and uninfluenced by any mercenary motives? Don’t apply for membership if you think you’ll be using your membership card to get out of a speeding ticket or to network for your business.
Do you have a favorable opinion of Freemasonry? You should have a desire for knowledge and a sincere wish to be of service to mankind. If you’re merely curious about what goes on behind locked doors, just read the rest of this book.
Do you agree to follow the rules? Nothing especially scary here. Health clubs and city parks have the same requirement.
Why aren't you a Freemason?
How many Freemasons does it take to change a light bulb?

Hey /x/, long story short- I've been asked to find 10 of the scariest videos on Youtube. Now I know there are some threads about scary Youtube videos but I'm looking for the most popular, unexplainable, creepiest shit you could find. I'm not asking for just well edited videos or some weird Japanese shit, I want something legit weird and spooky, and if the video has some creepy explanation- it's better.

This thread is dedicated to spoopy stories related to local beliefs/religion/ghosts from Asia. Don't post your shitty dreams in here, that's not even a ghost story.
I'm gonna start with my own story.
Victim: My whole extended family
Location: Bagan Serai, Perak, Malaysia
Entity: Djinn?
A little background before I start the story. In South East Asia we have this concept where you can keep djinns as 'pets'. Their main use were to guard your properties, personal safety or to ward off enemies. These things can be passed down through generations, and they can still linger in your ancestral homes or around family members long after they're forgotten.

OP continuing
>Me, 9-11 years old with family members went to our grandparents home to celebrate Eid.
> there's probably about 30 people staying there, it's the end of Ramadhan, the Holy fasting month.
> Muslims believe that shaytan (the devil) are tied up during Ramadhan to prevent them from disrupting Muslims who were busy doing worship throughout the whole month.
> 30th day of Ramadhan ends at dusk ( In Islam a new day begins at dusk/sundown). It's now the month of Syawal, the Eid is tomorrow.
>It's close to 11pm and the whole family are preparing to sleep. It's gonna be a busy day tomorrow.
>North and West side of this wooden house is surrounded by bush and small forest.
>On the East side 15m away is another home, on the South side a small unpaved road that takes to the main road.
>Everyone's home, doors are locked. My family has a room for ourselves, with my elder sister sleeping next to the east wall. I'm next to her. We all sleep on futons.
> Suddenly the sound of motorcycle approaching the house from the unpaved road. Quite strange, as it is not customary for people to come visiting at this hour, plus everyone's home.
>My mom said loudly "Who's coming at this hour?". She's a brave woman with a foul mouth, and that remark kind of got us into trouble later.
> Imagine this is the crappy asian motorcycle that you see in Topgear Vietnam special. The bike stops at the front door, on the south side.
> Nobody's knocking, no one entering.
>Ooookay.jpeg
>>16005241
>Suddenly there's a strange sound on the roof. The roof is corrugated iron, we call it the zinc roof locally. Whatever's walking on top of it can be heard throughout the house.
>Actually sounds like someone is sweeping the roof. People around the house are beginning to get nervous. I started getting sweaty.
> My mom decided to open her mouth again. She spoke loudly "Who's sweeping on the roof at this hour?". Local belief says that you're not supposed to address whatever strange thing that's happening around you, because they will take it as an encouragement.
>Big fucking mistake. The sound immediately intensifies. Now we hear someone running on the roof.
>Immediately later we hear hundreds of birds in the trees around the house going crazy.
>CAW CAW CAW CAW CAW like the ones you see on national geographic
>Unsettling as fuck. The sound on the roof now interspersed with the bird sounds. It's like a jungle in here. I began reciting whatever verse of the Koran I knew.
>>16005244
>Now comes the worst part. Suddenly we hear moaning sounds from the East wall..Actually sounds like a dying dog in great pain, just whimpering
The sound moves from the East wall to the corner where it meets the North wall, and then back again to there it first started, right next to my sister.
>HOOOO HOOO HEEE UNGHHHH
>My dick shrivels in fear, palms are sweaty, legs speghetti
>This is a malay village, stray dogs are rare, and they don't venture to homes
>Half an hour through the ordeal my scumbag sister did the douchiest thing she did so far
>"Anon, change places with me."
>Shitareyoufuckingkiddingmethere'sghostrightnexttothatwall.webm
>I did what she says anyway
>Sounds continue for like 3 hours, and subsided slowly. My scumbag sister managed to fall asleep halfway through it.
> I didn't sleep the rest of the night.
>Worst Eid night ever.
Whatever those are, I think they're coming back home after a months spent in chains.
Can we get a Goetic demon thread going? Just basics like what each demon specializes in, how dangerous specific ones are, experiences if you have any with summoning them. I've looked around the internet and I've gotten mixed results. Some have had good experiences and some have not.

The following are the Mothman humanoid / cryptid encounter reports collected by ufologist John Keel (The Mothman Prophecies) two years prior to the Silver Bridge collapsed on December 15, 1967. The bridge connected the towns of Point Pleasant, West Virginia and Gallipolis, Ohio over the Ohio River. Some of these reports are not from the area of the bridge collapse but seem to describe a similar entity. As well, some of the reports are from the general area of the bridge collapse but describe entities other than a Mothman-like being. Not all of these accounts were contained in The Mothman Prophecies.
- Gallipolis, Ohio - early 1966 - night: A woman who lived in a farm had reported her cattle being mutilated by unknown assailants. One night she went out armed with a shotgun to investigate and encountered several tall men wearing white coveralls. She chased them but they ran very fast and were able to easily jump over the fences.
- Point Pleasant, West Virginia - March 1966 - daytime: A "reliable woman" said that she had observed a silver disc hovering above a Point Pleasant school. A male figure in a tight fitting silver coverall was "standing" (floating) outside the open door of the object in midair, gazing intently into the school playground. He had pointed features and shoulder-length hair. A similar object, she said, landed sometime later in the yard behind her home, and was witnessed by her teenaged children. A similar being was seen in this occasion as well.
- Salt Lake City, Utah - July 18, 1966: Residents of this Mormon community reported seeing a bird "about as big as a Piper Cub airplane" circle the area. Some people ran for cover while others ran for their telephones.
- Scott, Mississippi - September 1 1966 - 2:00pm: Mrs James Ikart reported seeing what looked like a man fluttering about the sky. Several other people also said they had seen it. No other information.
- Point Pleasant, West Virginia - November 1 1966: A national guardsman saw a large brownish man-shaped figure on the limb of a tree. No other information.
