Does anyone on /x/ have a perfered method of contacting a dead relative or specific person? Has anyone tried anything with satisfactory results? I've "contacted" some randos but never anything specific or something I'd swear by.
A relative of mine went mad over the summer and shot himself. He left many unanswered questions, and its subsequently driving me a little mad myself.

I'm not so certain that'd work. Even if I believed in a God, I kinda doubt they'd be happy to answer after ignoring them for 20 some odd years. Plus, I'm not entirely sure that anyone on that side of the family would be anywhere close to God.

What, then, makes knowledge valuable?
What if one could have all the experiences in the world? Would knowledge matter?
To be enlightened requires neither knowledge nor loss of knowledge; it is simply a way of living with the understanding that knowledge is not an experience. One need not change their way of life to become enlightened, but merely recognize that it can.
It is not that we are infinite, but that in this moment we can be.

That happened many times with me.
When I was 4 or 5 I had a nightmare where I was in a forest at night. Its pitch fucking black, but there's little spots where moonlight breaks through the canopy. Then wolves show up and start coming over to me. I run and they chase me. The tree line ends but up ahead there's a cliff so I stop. Then the wolves slow down, surround the area and close in slowly. Suddenly they all charge fast. I run towards the cliff and feel a wolf jump on me from behind. That causes me to completely fall off the cliff and then the dream ends.

In "Dead Like Me", a vastly under appreciated series, George's younger sister uses the board alone, as I recall nothing happens. Note, she's using it on the toilet as her sister was killed by a toilet seat and that's who she wanted to speak to.
Hey /x/, I'm looking for this flash game that surfaced on the board about 2-3 years ago, somewhere between 2012-2014, it's hard to pinpoint.
It didn't have a name, but it was on a site that was just a bunch of numbers, probably alphanumeric code, something like 518142 or the like.
It went through several iterations, each update did a bit of a rehaul. You played as a gray humanoid figure who wakes up in his house and there are doorways everywhere, some connecting to each other, some taking you to different zones altogether. The game consisted of navigating the doorways. At one point you enter a nightmarescape where a basement looks all different and has blood and writing on the walls. There was another room where there was strange technology everywhere. There was a theme of eyes that kept coming back up. I think at some point you had to close them. It was similar to dream games like Yume Nikki, but the graphics were much more basic, and it was nowhere near as intricate.
I remember vividly that there was music that was backwards that would play, and if you 'lost' (at least, I think it implied you had lost), a picture of Sonic the Hedgehog that would show up, apparently an easter egg from some old dreamcast game.
I wish I remembered more. Does anybody remember this? Pic related, it's the described Sonic picture, but I think it was cropped in the flash game.
bump. Additional info: in one of the updates, they added an item system. There was a hammer in the basement. I'll add more as I remember.

It was actually a really interesting experience, especially with such a scientific guy. The dude who taught me was an electrical engineer in the military and worked for the FCC and as a professor for a while, but used them regularly to find powerlines and pipes.

I happen to have a begginers book on my hand right now, so let me know if you want anything in specific.
The book is "El poder del péndulo" by editorial Nostica, I don't think you can find it in english.
Here are "laws" (more like musts) regarding the pendulum:
1- Work only in optimal health conditions (body and mind)
2- Always work on the same environment and conditions (light, time shedules, room, etc)
3- Don't attempt to influence on the result. If you feel that you are suggesting yourself, you must always verify the obtained results
4- Dowsing consists on observing before interpreting
5- Interpret (the results) by saying "I feel" and not "I state that..."
6- If you establish beforehand that the pendulum or rod will make X or Y movement, it is better to postpone the working for another opportunity. Avoid at all costs auto suggestion.
7- Avoid electric inductions, avoid working on unfavorable environment conditions, do not work on storm days.
8- If you have an instrument that works for you, do not lend it because it's impregnated with your vibrations. If you lend it, it must be cleansed with water to eliminate vibrations from another person.
9- Dowsing must posses 2 indispensable qualities: prudence and modesty
10- Wish intensely (the book says "good", in the sense of making it with the intention, wanting it to happen) what you are looking for, but mantaining absolute passivity regarding the movements of the pendulum and the rod.
This shit actually works somehow. People where i live are still digging wells using it.
I might give it a shot next spring so keep any tips coming.

Guy who drilled my last well dowsed for the location. He used ell-shaped coathangers with loose plastic tubing on the handles. The "x is bad luck" thing must not work around here because that was his positive signal. He did say that specificity is key for dowsers, in that the rods will only respond to exactly what you're looking for.
Alright /x/, since we don't have any live fart smell or Dick Hoagie to listen to this weekend, some of us thought it'd be neat to stream one of art's c2c era shows and shitpost along with it. Suggested start time is 9pm PST / 12am EST.
Only thing left to determine is which show we stream. Some of the suggestions are Malachi Martin's first interview and the Mel's hole compilation. Other good ideas are the Dallas Thompson show, any of the ghost to ghost, etc. Basically anything available to stream on YouTube is fair game.
