Can someone recommend a relatively good recent (like past 5-6 years) horror movie? I'm trying to scare the shit out of myself but I've read all the good pasta and seen pretty much all the scary youtube meme videos.
> movies I've already seen:
Babadook.
Insidious.
Sinister.
The exorcism of emily rose.
It Follows
Inland Empire
Evil Dead remake.
The Conjuring.
Cabin In The Woods (if that counts).
The Orphanage
> Don't care to see.
Anything cheap or cheesy in the style of Freddy, Jason, Chucky, Jigsaw any of the other meme monsters, or basically anything in the style of James Wan/Leigh Wannel.
>>17042994
By "meme monsters", do you mean slasher flicks? Jesus Christ, is this what the internet has done to us?
I recommend Green Inferno...

Take your meds and if you don't have meds go to a psychiatrist. Seriously guys i am all for the paranormal but you guys are as bad as people on pro ana sites acting like there is nothing wrong with people hearing voices and telling them it's fucking normal
>>17043031
don't let him tell you what is normal you know what you can sense OP. you just need focus.
So a few nights ago I had like this dream whereby I dropped my phone on the floor and heavily damaged the screen. It was a pretty bad time.
And then today I get a message from my network provider 'if your phone is your whole world, imagine if something happened to it...With full cover if anything happens to it you can get..'
Is this some new thing, your phone putting dreams into your head? Or am I being threatened independently of corporate interest?
>>17042912
You think phones couldn't transmit waves?
>>17042909
It very well could be nothing at all simply you had a dream. I take it you have a weak mind and fear the control of others so you interperate your dreams to be irational theories of mind control.
Is it true that you can reach the 4th dimension during astral projection?
>>17042844
How do you know? Have you experienced it?
Dimensions differ from densities. Each density has all of the dimensions. Densities contain the dimensions as you know them. And then there is one dimension for the range of densities. So think of a dimension of dimensions.
So a while ago I heard that almost everyone has spirits, demons and other things attached to them, mostly without them knowing- so I bought this book on how to get rid of them (will link below)
This was nearly 8 months ago and I stumbled upon it again in my docs and decided to give it a go today so here is my experience following the clearing script:
>Starts scanning self for shit that don't feel right
>Calls upon archangels
>Ears start ringing
>Read list of things I want removing
>Face starts throbbing
>Feels like a buzzing all around the front of my face sort of like a vibrating bag over my head
>Try pumping lovey feels toward the area
>I don't hate what's attached to me but for the love of myself and those around me, I want them gone
>Buzzing gets really intense
>Command in the name of love and the universe/god that it needs to step away from me
>Buzzing gets stronger
>Start thinking maybe I should go get a cup of tea to calm me down due to intensity (britfag)
>Repeat commands a couple more times
>Tryna feel the inner strength n love
>Buzzing now in both hands and head
>Really determined to see it through
>Ask for the things to be taken to the place of confinement and womb of transformation so they can do no more harm
>Give thanks
>Go downstairs to make tea and food
>Feel really light headed
>Can still feel a few things that need to go
>But feeling a lot more like "myself"
Questions: What's your 2 cents/experiences on spiritual attachments and dark forces?
In detecting these things, am I correct in saying what is you feels warm and what is not feels foreign/cold?
Am I being autistic?

Is the technological singularity inevitable?
>technological singularity
>any kind of singularity
do you people not understand what "determinism" technological or not means? this shit has been discussed in academia to death and is quite a boring topic yet uneducated people keep bringing it up because someone came up with a new name for it
Does a bear shit in the woods?
>>17042723
Yeah, uneducated people asking about something like this, definitely a reason to be pissed. Moron. At least he's not sitting around only worried about getting laid. Jaded assholes like you are the cancer.
I know I'm late to the party, but I've been interested in the Time Wave Theory and things related. I would like to see others thoughts on the subject.
Btw is the Mandela Effect and all that related to TWT?
>>17042678
Yes, if you replace Mandela with a psychedelic mushroom. You know, the Psychedelic Mandela Mushroom Effect.
In psychedelics everything is connected. I am you and your cousin is my dog.

So would I for once.

We are using a very basic language, all things told, to try to channel incredibly complex ideas. I'm better off thinking of things on my own, as pure thought, than trying to translate English back to the pure concepts it is trying to represent. One of my very dear friends is studying Philosophy in college. I can barely converse with him any more, but I don't think he understands the world any better than I do. Just... more words. Bigger words. Fancier phrases. Which isn't to say there is no value in reading the words others have chosen to describe the world. But it must be done in moderation, the words stick with you. If you go too far down the path, it becomes addictive, and you spend your time and mind-power echoing others' thoughts instead of thinking your own. I can't believe how quickly my mind jumps to quoting someone else rather than creating my own unique thought.
There is enormous value in sharing information, how incredibly quickly humanity is advancing right now, in the past century since we invented means of instantaneous communication, is undeniable proof of that. But like any good thing it can go way too far. Right now our culture has a bit of an information obsession, many of us are trying to take in all the info available to us. Few awakened minds are spending their time creating new texts like the ones they so happily absorb. And reading old texts... hm. Looking back is important, looking to the future is vital.
Hi anons, who tries to experience lucid dreams?
My latest experience: this early morning I had a dream where, in some moments, I could take control of the events and I was aware of my oniric state. The problem is, everytime things start to become "interesting", and I become too "aware" of the fact that I'm dreaming, I suddenly awake and I can't do anything to avoid that.
never lucid dreamed, how to?
>>17042531
I have good odds if I'm napping. Usually can't do it in a deep sleep.
Last one I had I fell asleep in the parking lot of an apartment complex. Realized I was dreaming and could do whatever so I started going door to door looking for sexy womens to bang. But every time I opened a door there was a demon or something so I kept blowing up the apartments and moving on. I guess I can't control them all that well yet.
You just have to catch yourself in the early stages of a dream and tell yourself "this is a dream, I'm in my bed" or wherever you are, then have enough control not to wake yourself up out of fear or whatever. You become self aware in the dream, then it just becomes like thoughts you have while conscious. You can control them, only they're more vivid because there's no waking distractions.
>>17042536
I don't know actually, but sometimes I'm able to be aware of the fact that I'm dreaming. I know that there are techniques, some of them are listed on Wikipedia, there's a page about lucid dreams. I never tried those actually. Only technique I used is to wake up in the early morning, stay awake for about 30 minutes and then go to sleep again. You'll be more aware of your dream, or at least it works for me.
Some anon made a thread about seeing a fairy/pixie like creature, and it was interesting as fuq. I've become kind of obsessed now. Check this out:

So, I decided to share this with you /x/, because while not really paranormal, it's mostly up your alley. I mean, I did think about "something" toying with me, shadows that attacked me and whatnot, but anyway, here it is. It'll be a long read, and I'm not looking for anything more than if anyone's had any similar experiences, and if there's anyone really into reading dreams and whatnot, please do tell your theory on why no dream tells worked.
Quick info, I rarely sleep during the day. I do not dream a lot ever nor do I ever remember them, also I've tried lucid dreaming for years so I know all the signs to look for.
It all started today, I'm visiting my mom for a month or two cause she's ill and today I went to chill in my bed for a bit cause or cat likes to chill. I was lying there for a good 20 minutes before I even was close to falling asleep, and at this point I feel/hear a sound in my head, almost like a dentist drill but like it was going from ear to ear, just a split second, and I remember thinking "great, now I got brain damage" which is my usual thought when I feel weird in my head. Also, on my left eye when I lying there with my eyes closed, it was almost as if I could make out a fractal pattern in the darkness of my closed eye, I remember thinking this was pretty sweet and I think I actually fell asleep looking at this fractal.
Now what happens is I have 20 dreams within dreams, and I remember each and every single one.
>Dream 1
Wake up in a sofa, don't realize it's not my bed, scared as shit for some reason, go up and things are almost normal, but I wake up when I realize I woke up in a sofa, and not my bed.
>Dream 2
Same thing, even more uneasy.
>Dream 3-5
Same thing, except each dream I am more uneasy, but I keep focusing on my bed so it takes shorter and shorter to realize I woke in my sofa.
1/?
>>17042398
>Dream 6
Now here I wake up and I'm wondering if this is happening because I "invoked a bad spirit" or some shit, which in hindsight is hilarious because I don't dabble in the occult, nor do I really believe in it, but I'm literally in this dream asking why did I do it and so on, I'm really freaked out at this point.
>Dream 7
Now here I'm shit scared, and literally the shadows in my room are trying to eat me as soon as I wake up, I remember every second of it, waking up, seeing the shadows moving, remember thinking "this is a dream, I need to wake up", trying to get out of the bed, I do and as I try to walk past it the entire shadows of one wall crawl up and jump out at me, I remember panicking and trying to wave it away (lol) but nope, I wake up instead.
>Dream 8
Wake up in my bed, now I think I'm awake, so I go up and I'm up for a good few minutes, looking at clooks, a book I'm currently reading, no signs of it being a dream. Then I just wake up again, in my bed. Starting to get annoyed
>Dream 9-11
Goes on about the same, with a few minor differences, the toilet of the house being in a different place, different times during the day, different dinners being made and so on but considering I still remember each dream I try more and more to lucid dream each time I wake up, and look after more signs, none. I remember I kept thinking again that perhaps this entity is fucking with me, which is unusual because I don't really buy into that stuff, but the thought came into my head, so I figured I'll check it out online, so I start my laptop and when I get logged in the electricity goes out, and the laptop turns off, I'm talking pitch black, and pop, I'm awake again with my face into my pillow, hence the pitchblack. This is how I felt to sleep, and how I was sleeping the entire time.
>>17042402
>Dream 12-14
Now here as I wake up, I'm in sleep paralysis, I can't move but parts of my body are being moved, like my leg is lifted almost sideways to me and I can't do anything, my arm is lifted and so on, and I can't move. This point I'm thinking I'm in sleep paralysis (I've had it before) and just ride it out.
>Dream 16-19
Now I just assume I'm dreaming when I wake up, I tried running into the wall in my dream, nothing happened. I tried every single thing I've read about lucid dreaming. Nothing works, but considering I remember each dream and I wake up randomly, I keep trying. Nothing seems to indicate it is a dream. I keep waking up after 5 to 30 minutes in these last dreams, and I remember actually doing it all (I went to the toilet, I browsed the net on my laptop etc).
>Dream 20
Now I wake up, I do all the tells first, I start my computer then proceed to the toilet, mom's making dinner (which means I should've been sleeping for 6+ hours, which I felt was logical for such a deep sleep with vivid dreams I usually don't have) and I go to the toilet. I remember the smell of the food she's cooking, I remember my daughter being in the room with her but that didn't strike me as odd (it perhaps should've, since she went to her moms an hour before I went to sleep) I'm in the toilet, reading shampoo bottles, reading the toilet paper labels, anything for dream signs, there are none. I kind of noticed there was more toilet paper than usual, but it didn't strike me, this all felt real. Right up until the last moment of my dream, when I started to whipe, and my shit was pitch black, we're talking blacker than black, and I remember in the dream I panicked over this, and as I panic about it I roll off the toilet, cramps, remember each passing second as thinking, this is it, I'm dying.
>>17042404
And as I'm lying there dying, my mom in the real world (I fucking hope it is anyway) calls out from another room and says "Oh shit, I almost fell asleep" and I wake up, and have been awake for now, 40 minutes. I've been going through each and every dream over and over, and it the most vivid, weird and outright annoying experience I've ever had. What keeps coming back to me is the noise I heard before falling asleep, seeing the fractal and then all these weird ass dreams.
I find it interesting that I would have this noise, see the fractal and then have multiple dreams within dreams, just like a fractal. Perhaps the fact that "I was thinking in fractals" as I fell asleep caused this, idk.
So. Thoughts? Stories? Theories about what dreams like these usually mean?
Thoughts?
