Last night a friend and I were walking in a park, and out of no where this extremely dim light flashes across the park. There was no way it could've been a person because it moved way to fast, and it couldn't of been somebody flashing a light because there was nothing behind to have the light flash on. This thing was moving across and the more i think about it, i can see kind of a body shape. Does anybody have any ideas what this could be?

I have a question though, regarding religion. Does anyone believe in the concept of selling your soul in exchange for success, wealth, power etc?
I'm not really into the whole /illuminati/ stuff but there's definitely a lot of weird stuff regarding artists saying they've sold their soul to the devil and shit.

I believe some people can sell their soul, but most people aren't of any value and malevolent entities wouldn't even bother trading for their souls. They want control immediately, not just after you die. You have to do what they want while you're still alive and most people not only suck at taking commands, but wouldn't be any good at what they need to do even if they were willing to be a demon's bitch.

I have an unusual realationship with my landlord.
We work together pretty close. He is my best bro. I could tell him about my wife. He started acting weird tonight. Just saying odd things, you know, like he was watching some new show or something, started talking about it. But he just kept talking about that or other things, things that were more and more unusual. He started talking about births, my own baby! I don't got no kids coming! He started talking. And talking.

I could keep going on and on about contrasts between this one person. We both have the drive to be successful and achieve our wild goals. Though we don't get along, I asked him to be my rivals to keep each other pushing for success.

I personally feel that having both sides is the best path to success. Teal Swan once said that you attract opposites because you are suppressing a part of yourself which may be true for some people.
Why not try their way and ask them to try yours?

So /x/ I'm not trying to be edgy or attention whoring. I just want to hear some of your thoughts of what I've seen as a child and young teen.
So basically, when I was a young kid I used to become deeply terrified for no reason. So terrified that I would stop what I was doing and run as fast as I could to the nearest person. Regardless if I ever saw anything or not, I always felt an extremely strong threatening presence. It was always sudden too. the fear I felt dropped in on me as fast as you might feel your heart drop at exceedingly disappointing news.
Now I know I'm talking a non-specific fear, but I want to restate that this fear was intense, visceral, and horrifying. It was the kind of fear that would send anyone into a darting sprint without a second notice. Beyond the random spurts of terror I felt from random feelings I would get there were other times I was given real cause to be afraid.
I would see things /x/. Well THING. When I would see something, it would always be a very tall and broad man standing perfectly silent and still somewhere in my yard or in my house. It was 'shadowed', as in, I could never make out any features except hands. I think it wore a hat as well. It never chased me when I ran either, and would always be gone once the fear I felt went away. Never did I see this thing anywhere but my mother's house. I could sense the direction it was in and would instinctfully jerk my head around and there it would be.
If it helps, I have sleepwalked before in my youth, heard and seen other things (but without the fear), and I have nightly bizarre dreams.
This part of my life has long since been over. Sometimes I'll see things but I'll never lend them much of a thought, just movement that shouldn't have been there, that sorta stuff.
Like I said, not looking for attention, just very curious on this part of my life. Could anyone give me any ideas on what might have happened. I don't care if it's as mundane as "your imagination" or paranormal.

Please don't be offended by this OP, but this sounds like some sort of trauma associated with the divorce of your parents.
Perhaps you had a fear of another man besides your father being in the house. Maybe you were anxious about the lack of a man in the house or something.

I'm interested in filmmaking and I'm also a big fan of found-footage stuff. Blair Witch is my number one favorite horror film and I also love these amateur found-footage scary videos on youtube. This, for example: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z0P15KiPIbU
It seems to me that with this technique you can make very good and powerful movies or videos while on a very low budget.
So how would you go about it? First of all, do I need a specific camera, or can I just "dumb down" the quality to make it look more "real"? I found that the crappy quality adds a lot to these videos for some reason.
Other than that, post some more quality found footage stuff and also share your tips on how to make a good one. Thanks!

Grave encounters is really good. Other than that Willow Creek was fun too and the Tunnel is a very good one. But I don't really know many full-length found-footage horrors that are truly scary.

Creep is a great film, one of the best found footage I've seen. Also on Netflix.
As for found footage they are popular because they are low budget in every way. Cast can't be famous people because they have to be "real," quality of video not an issue.
Honestly audio seems like the biggest problem to me, I wonder how you get good audio on projects like this.
Another good one is The Conspiracy, this one has some interesting techniques/camera types so should be interesting to watch.
Also the cameras are easy to see in The Sacrament. That movie is a bummer though fair warning.
Quick backstory: My family has about 2 1/2 square miles of shared farmland between 5 family members. On top of the section that my part of the family owns there was a small unnamed skirmish between Confederate soldiers and Union soldiers. The Union soldiers had won and pushed the Confederates back over into Missouri. Among those Union soldiers was my great-great-great grandpa, who was a corporal if I remember correctly (I'd have to check out the regiment list in the library again).
Anyways, onwards to the situation. During the day time, you can see black figures moving back and forth in the front yard through the massive picture window in our living room. Rarely at night you can sometimes hear what sounds like a bullet hitting the ground and sending dirt flying (inspection in the morning reveals that nothing is displaced), as well as very distant-sounding, inaudible voices. None of us in this household have felt any bad spiritual presence of any kind in all our years of living here (this house has been here since my great-great grandpa inherited the current section of land I live on from GGG grandpa). Any thoughts or similar experiences with civil war ghosts?
Have you ever tried recording anything?
