Right, I'll begin by sharing one of my own. And I aplogize in advance for the wall of text. Please bare with me.

Before I begin though, I have to share something on the side - all in the name of context.
Since the day I was born, I've always had the most uncanny and strangest of luck. To begin with, I was born half-dead and it was believed that I wouldn't make it, yet against all odds - I did. Later down in life I've constantly brushed shoulders with death and always survived (I've been poisoned, stabbed and left to bleed out, been dragged and drowned by the currents of the sea and...more...yet something always happend to "divert"me from my doom. Not to mention the side fact that, for years up until "the event" I had a non-stop, stable flow of fortune - I would constantly, almost on a daily basis find things of minor to great value, events will turn to favor me fully and things in general would always go the way I wanted them to. In short, everything was bizzarely perfect.
But, as I already hinted - all of that didn't last. And yes, I know that nothing I've said up till now is "special" or "supernatural" and so on. I agree with the fact that some people are just born lucky and that also luck is very temporary and unpredictable.
But here is the thing.

Everything changed after I had a certain "dream" 13 years a go. It was a nightmare within a nightmare within another. And no matter what I did - I couldn't stop it. Every time when I shcoked myself awake I discovered that I was still dreaming or in the rare case in which I truly woke up - the moment I closed my eyes after that, I would instantly fall asleep and it would all continue from where it had stopped. The nightmare itself, felt that went on for years, during which - every day was a bizzare scenario in which I faced many terrors. During all of that I was constantly stalked and chased by a perculiar and very frightening shadow. A dark thing that no matter how much I ran from or tried to shake of - it would always find me and instil great dread in my "soul" everytime I laid eyes on it.

Is there any good argument that suggests reality isn't simulated? The way I see it everything points to us living in a simulation.
There's so many conveniently fitting rules that fit a simulated universe, both on the larger scale of the cosmos, but also on the smaller scale of human behaviour and biology.
I'm not really if it would be comfortable to know that every time I sleep an autosave is made or if I instead should be scared becasue I might spend thousands of years in stasis between each day. Also solipsism

Hi, /x/. Recently, I've bought a book that contains a large list of Hermetic ritualistic magick. These spells are taken in context of the Corpus Hermeticum and the Greek Magickal Papyrus.
Such spells range from protection; invoking vision, appearing in the dreams of a certain someone, to attaining a daimon (similar to a familiar spirit or monadic personal spirit), to attract lovers, etc etc.
It also has detailed sections regarding historical nuances-- whether it be the many cosmologies that come together to form working Hermetic thought (such as Egyptian, Greek, and Gnostic schools), or simply the major gods of each individual cosmology.
So, what I'll be doing today-- I'll let you anons ask if there's a certain spell for a certain purpose in the book, and I'll post the details of how to perform it.
Just know that many of these spells require intimate rituals, and may require items that are not readily available.
Anyways, let's get to it.

The original spell for this has the magician speaking into a consecrated lamp in order to achieve the desired effect; however, in the spirit of Hermetic thought, in that each initiate can, for theirself, create their own practices to a degree; I believe any sacred object would work. I whispered the invocation below into my bag of runes, for instance.
Here's the text:
"If you wish to appear to someone at night in his or her dreams, magically address your lamp on a nightly basis with this invocation:
CHEINOPSEI ERPEOTH, let [insert name], whom [insert their mother's name] bore, see me in his/her dreams. Ede, ede-- tachy, tachy!(literally means Now, now-- quick quick!)"
You can add in any other meaning you'd like before the dismissal of "ede, ede", should you wish. Let me know if you need any clarification.

how does one increase their mental capacity? I already meditate and read on a daily basis, lift heavy 3 times a week and cardio on other days. I also do basic yoga daily. The rest of the time is spent on studying math and physics. I do still seem to have a lot of free time and want to become more efficient at thinking, what are your ideas /x/? drugs?

So I recently learned when my mother and father were dating that my father got heavily into some, how should we say, questionable things. My mother simply described it as "Things of the occult." and mentioned he had tried "Several summonings."

Nothing really gives me the creeps, but my apartment does. When I'm lifting, riding my cycle, soaking in the bath, I feel like somethings watching me.
