hey /x/ a few years back I was looking up at the night sky with some friends and we all noticed every star in the sky was moving, now when i say every star I mean every star. Not across the sky like a satellite or plane would but like in the motion of the light bug, it never strayed too far from where it moves around its always in the same area of sky. This went on for about a week until one day they all just stopped. I always keep any eye out on the night sky incase they start moving again until tonight. I noticed a few stars doing it this time though, not every star. It can't be just me because my friends noticed that shit as well, so it can't be that I'm seeing shit. Anyone else experience this?
Were you high when they started moving?

Hey, /x/. Teach me how to cast a spell.
Long story short, I'm a skeptic and I have a friend who's into the supernatural. Recently she told me about being too nervous to try a ritual she had read about because of being cursed if it failed. I kinda rolled my eyes at this. She asked me if I would actually try it, if it meant possibly being cursed. I said I would because I don't believe in curses. She said "Okay, you try it. That way we'll see if it works and YOU'LL be cursed if it goes wrong." Spoilers: nothing happened.
Got me thinking, though. I'm willing to experiment and won't admit that I was wrong if presented with evidence. So... do you have any fool-proof spells and any other ways to come in contact with the supernatural? Do you have a "follow the steps, exactly, in order, get results" method?
If nothing else it'll spare me from being bored half to death over the holidays and my friend loves reading about these things. Also picture related. If possible, I'd like one of these, please.

Try lucid dreaming and meditation. The most supernatural experience I've ever had was the result of meditating until I had a lucid dream/out of body experience. Was like falling into a different world.

How does pain in dream works so well? I don't know about you guys, but I normally get hurt in dreams and awake the same part of my body in pain or feeling really weird. I have also been a bit paranoid about demons trying to possess me, specially because of sudden lucid nightmares I had ALMOST every week of the past months.
Example of a recent dream where I had a huge pain:
>Dream, some kind of "psych guard" with special equipment, looking all modern and shit
>Working in a place that looks like a lab
>Suddenly I feel dizzy, image switches to another place, some women in giant capsules
>Some of them clearly had the legs mutilated with the bones being shown, but some did look "normal", they had a damn weird helmet

>I start to help eveyrone evacuate because they were coming, after a time one of them appear floating in my front
>I see like a "wave" coming, I try to stop it with my "psych powers" that I supposedly had in the dream
>I freeze in pain, it's like every nerve is being forced out of my head, like I am imploding
>I did black out in the damn dream, I really felt like I was going to die
>"Fuck, I ain't dying", did wake up from the floor and managed to send her flying

Seriously, it was such a fucked up pain. I NEVER had experienced anything like that, I also never did hurt myself badly IRL. Is it normal to feel "realistic" pain like this? I like to attempt lucid dream, but that shit wasn't even really Lucid and it did hurt like hell.
tl;dr Is it normal to feel "realistic" pain even on normal dreams to the point you awake feeling it for a few seconds?
When I have sleep paralysis I sometimes feel like my teeth are being pulled out but the pain goes away when I snap myself out of it. If you wake up because of pain in your dreams that could mean you're actually getting hurt in reality which could explain why you still feel it when you wake up.

The same can be done if you place your hand and a fake rubber hand under a cloth so it looks as if it's your hand sticking out
If someone hits it with a hammer. Your hand will recoil as if you actually got hit. And you will feel a small pain before your brain realises it got tricked

There's threads here for innawoods, and even one for underwater, but so few people talk about on the water. Sailors are such a suspicious bunch, and I'm a fan of the idea of seasteading. What sorts of things could we run across if there were more people dependent on maritime travel?
I'll start:

What does /x/ think of ghost ships? What about sea monsters such as the kraken, or mermaids? USOs? There's much to explore!
The ocean is one of the most frightening yet mystifying aspects of the planet. Think about it; total desolation on it's own is a relatively unsettling concept for most people, and the oceans are entirely that, an extremely expansive plain of emptiness. When we're on land and we are isolated, we have some physical connections that still link us to the mentality that although we may be alone, we are still in a way 'grounded' (for lack of a better term) by the Earth, like a tree for example; hell, even a rock. In the ocean, no such connections exits. Out there, it's just you and the water; there is nothing out there for you to relate to normal life, your mind tries to make connections but can't find any. From the blank canvas that the emptiness of the oceans create, your mind begins to project. This is where that aspect of mysticism comes in; when your subliminal thoughts have dominance in the emptiness, you begin to see, feel, and think things that you might not otherwise. You might to consider the notion of a higher being, see things that just aren't right, and be emotionally inflicted in ways you wouldn't expect. It's because of this effect that the ocean has that it can be so terrifying, yet still make us yearn for it. It really is incredible.

I've always found USOs interesting, particularly when mixed with the idea that a simple alien craft is simply capable of being in all types of environment, be it air, space, or sea.
