Hey /x/
tl;dr A friend received creepy videos with riddles, we solved them, but never the mystery was never solved.
I thought I'd share the story of theotw with you. This isn't the first time we've done this, but I thought to myself "why not?" And so here we go again.
In November 3 years ago, a friend of mine received the following video:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OImPXqmGV4M
As you can probably tell, this thing is filled with clues and mystery to be solved, and so he chose to share this with us.
>inb4 the friend did it
We aren't sure, but assume not as his editing skills and cunning doesn't match up.
Anyway, this first one was simple, the next one, not so much, but we managed to solve it but that was also when things got real fucking creepy, cause the called "eyes and ears" contain the following:
> A flash of an image the involved something that looked the very same kind of surgery his brother had just undergone.
> Video footage of an outdoor lamp mounted to his house.
> The lyrics "I'm in the corner watching you.." from the song 'Dancing on my own' by Robyn played in reverse.
Needless to say the guy was getting scared, but it got worse. In the threads thumbnail you can see a symbol that has been repeated several times through out the video.
Now I don't remember how we found out, but this symbol means tree(s) and was a hint of what was to come as much of the next video took place in the forest less then half a kilometer away. The video also contain 5 coordinates for place around his area, the when lined up drew that very symbol. We also managed to decipher and decode all the different clues in the video, all of which I am in possession of.
We don't really care if you believe us or not, as this isn't the first time we've shown it off.
In closing, I'd like to add that the last instruction we got, was to go dig in the woods, a thing we never dared to try.
And that's more or less the story of TheEyesInTheWoods.

Are there any decent paranormal investigators out there like you see on TV but on youtube or the internet in general that aren't con artists and actually do good work?
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Charles_Fort
This is a good start at least as a lot of people were inspired by Fort as a paranormal investigator. Look up "forteana"
I've done ghost hunting and put it on youtube , I posted this on another topic just awhile ago.
I am getting into ghost hunting and just starting out.
My first video was a wild west brothel , I caught a lot of evidence there.
That place was easy.
I am making a new video where I go into a haunted wax museum , I have already gone and am making the video.
It will be awhile though , I'm not super fast on making videos for youtube.
Not as easy to get evidence at the wax museum but I did get some.
I am hoping to do some more in the future but right now I only have this video.
For me it's all real.

Watching it now.
Why doesn't he update anymore?
Has he given up on humanity?
>>17107307
He still updates little things every now and then. He recently got rid of fetal programming, and replaced it with some online cassette player. He still makes music, and has changed a lot around.
hey /x/,
I don't usually come around here, but recently i booked a hotel room that's supposedly in an extremely haunted. Im going to be staying on the Queen Mary. Usually the ocean itself kind of spooks me out, so this should be a pretty creepy experience. supposedly hundreds have died because of or on this ship, it was even used in world war II to transport troops, many of which died aboard the ship and at one point collided with and destroyed another ship carrying 338 people on it, and killed 239 of them. So guys, what should i expect in this hotel room, if anything, and how should i prepare myself?

extremely haunted ship*
Someone please e/x/plain this freaky experience!! Sorry it's long but have been tripping out hard over it... happened 3 days ago:
After being out all day I pulled up home where I live with my gf. My phone was flat, and she parks her car in the garage while I park on the front lawn, so I wasn't sure if she was home or not. I walked inside and called out for her and she called my name back from what sounded like the bathroom. I went to go charge my phone in the bedroom, passing a closed bathroom door on my way where I could hear water filling the bath. It was odd the door being closed, since we're way comfortable with each other being 5 years into our relationship.
I started my phone charging and grabbed a snack from the kitchen coz I was starving. I went to check if my gf wanted to get take out with me and on my way I could hear her distinct laughter over the running bath water, and when I got to the door I could hear her talking, mentioning her best friends name. I figured she was on the phone which was weird to me while running a bath.
I tried opening the door, but it was locked. I called out to her again through the door, but she continued talking to her friend. I called out louder thinking she just didn't hear me. That's when I noticed my toes were becoming wet. Water was flowing through from under the door! I was banging on the door at this point, but she laughed and continued talking. Water still surrounding my feet, I began throwing myself into the door. That's when she screamed my name in a way that's hard to describe, but with definite panic in her voice. I became desperate and managed to break the door down.
So what happened then?
What I found made my heart stop. The bath was overflowing and my gf was.. nowhere. I quickly turned off the taps and just stood there confused, then fear took over. WTF just happened?! I heard her in there and the bath was left running! I pulled the plug out and rushed to my phone. My hands were shaking as I read messages from my gf saying she was at her best friends place, making the most out of her pool (it's been pretty hot here in aus). She wasn't even home.
I tried calling her and her friend but had no luck getting through. I sent her a text and scoped out the whole house and garage which was empty, so I went to mop up the excess water. Maybe she could have left it running by mistake and I could have been imagining things, but no, I just couldn't ignore how fucked up this all felt. Going back to my phone I realised I had her friends home number, so I tried that and felt some relief when I heard her mum on the other end.
I asked where my gf was and she said she could see the 2 in the pool from the window. This calmed me down, until she made a comment about the 2 laughing together. This put me on edge after my weird experience and I started sensing something bad was happening, so much that I became frantic on the phone demanding the mum to make them get out of the pool that instant! She was naturally confused, but I kept insisting until I could hear her calling my gf to speak to me on the phone.
What happened next?
Hey /x/ anyone know a good movie that eject the shit out of me ?

shouldn't there be a written word about alchemy somewhere other than wikipedia?
All of the physical books (like the Mutis Liber) I have encountered seem to be largely symbolic and pictorial
Are there any pdfs or txt files up online about alchemy?

I hope this helps your transmutation...

It's a bad time to be an /x/phile, my friend.
SO. Im gonna make a pic. I need some examples technology was used for against the public when it was made for a better purpose.
this is magic...example magicians trick: into the box goes a diet pepsi, out comes aspartame a fucking toxin.
General tech reversal thread.
Some examples:
Security Cams: did the guy who dreamed of security cameras want to point them at the jungles? at caves? at places where missing people were lost? or did he want to stick them in shopping malls and on the street.
Tanks: did the guy who invented tanks want to steam roll jungle aliens and blast caves? with 100% safety and metal armor? i bet he did... of course they flattened half of europe with tanks and hitler (conveniently when everyone was mad about... aliens)
Pesticide: pesticide was made to kill bugs. its sprayed on foods (for 100 years) (instead of lemon juice dilluted w/ water. a natural pesticide), and smoke it in cigarettes
Gas chamber: did the jews have a plan of dumping gas into the alleged nephillim caves, only to get gassed by hitler?
Drones: do we want to use drones for tracking aliens, jungles, and taking cool pictures? The government is using them as assassination devices (probably against muslim 15 year olds or something rediculous).
If you have any more examples please share
You should check out the How We Got to Now series. It's a pretty great rundown of how history actually works.
Do you think the guys that invented the internet would have thought that it would help anti-info, snake oil salesmen and propagate mental disorders (alá schizophrenia) as a perfectly fine and sane thing to have and use it to make silly fucks believe literally everything they read on it?

Tanks were invented for the sole purpose of war

anyone else saw this earlier?
is pepsi beaming down a new drink?
they are basically saying that the annunaki wiill come back trhough their black knight satellite by us giving a signal they would have shown
>>17106683
Personally, I thought it was very well and tastefully done. Damn near cried at the end, what a baaby I am. Great message, and if they get some PR out of it no biggie they probably put a ton of resources into it.
Props, Pepsi.
Ive watched several episodes of many of the ghost hunter type shows around, and while so many parts of them are fake, i was wondering if anyone else thinks that maybe on occasion they might stumble onto real evidence, i remember in one show for example they had an evp with old music playing in the background as the researchers were taling amongst themselves, and i thought to myself that even as a script writer that seemed very odd to think of or make up
I've done ghost hunting and put it on youtube , I've also caught old music playing as well as a bunch of EVP voices.
I am currently working on a new youtube video where I go into a haunted wax museum by myself. I've already gone I am just cutting together the video.
For me it's all real. The music was old timey guitar playing at a wild west brothel.

Posthumanism/A.I. thread, if you please.
Will such things improve human life? Is it too intrusive? Is there even any way to refuse it once nanomechs become practical?
General pros/cons on the subject.
The way I understand it is: artificially intelligent life is actually an alien lifeform.
>>17106611
I can kinda see where you're coming from, but why DO you think that an AI is an alien lifeform?
>>17106611
>Will such things improve human life?
Not in the ways that matter right now. The world's issues are societal, not material. Posthumanism won't stop things like religious conflict or greed.
>A.I.
Assuming we're talking about a fully sapient entity, there's two basic things to the matter.
1. There's no good reason to make one.
A sapient A.I. would have rights, due to being sapient. We couldn't force it to do things it doesn't want to do. It would in effect be a person with highly expensive maintenance.
2. It's almost certainly impossible to design one. Itelligence is weird and humanity doesn't understand it at all. We keep coming up with a definition of true A.I. Then, someone makes something that matches that definition, and everybody agrees that it still isn't true A.I. and the definition is changed. The only way I can see true A.I. coming about is it developing from a learning A.I. operating on a machine that mimics the physical structure of the brain, rather than an ordinary computer structure.
Has anyone here heard of a group called "the Hidden College"?
Bump for boredom

You mean the one Whitley Streiber mentioned? He touched on a theory that select children across the world are taken to secret schools and taught occult knowledge and some of them forget it happened as they grow up. It's like some kind of spiritual war going on to covertly train humans to be aware by teaching them things they would refuse as adults.
No, and they'd be betraying their name if I did.
This is something that I need to get off of my chest. Although I didn't get the worst of whatever this was, it still brings tears to my eyes typing this up.
Hopefully /x/ can answer some questions, or give me guidance or clarity. Was this some sort of warning? Was this entity passive? Do you think it had any intentions of hurting us?

>he claims that he keeps seeing things in the corner of his eye while he drives
>not other cars, but like a person inside of the car with him
>"lol ok bro"
>brother is pretty /x/, he's into the paranormal spoopy shit
>mom isnt working one night, so he and some friends take the car to abandoned gray's creek school
>tl;dr- there's a school in my area notorious for being haunted and having spooky shit happening at it, everyone who goes there has a spooky experience
>he and his friends only stay for about 5 minutes before heading home
>apparently they heard kids crying and screaming in the distance when they got near the school

>i'm pulling an all-nighter, it's summer vacation
>go into the kitchen for a bowl of cereal
>think i see a little girl for a moment, but shrug it off and think it was a hallucination from lack of sleep
>pale girl with long black hair

>still moderately creeped out, it looked very real, nothing like a typical hallucination
i want to make it clear that my brother had long black hair at the time

>only a couple of days later a priest blesses the house
at this point it all stopped, however
>two little girls and their crackhead mom moves into our garage because she can't pay her bills and needs a place to stay
>one of the girls has bright blonde curly hair and is about my age, the other is about 6 and has long black hair
>whenever i look at her i get reminded of the entity that was in my house before
>tl;dr she ends up dying in a traffic accident a month later
>my family and i move out of the house, fully convinced that if we didn't we would die

I don't frequent /x/ so I really don't know what I was dealing with. I don't know what this entity was but I just want some answers and I want to clarify my past.
A story my dad told me long ago. Not paranormal, but pretty terrifying.
A bowl of business cards. Sounds harmless doesn’t it? Well apparently in the early 80’s, located in the city of San Antonio, Texas, there was a grubby old gas station/convenience store. Everything inside the gas station was quite expected, except the bowl of business cards. The bowl of business cards was intended for helping people find goods, and services they needed, but sadly this wasn’t what it was used for. A local gang used it for initiations. They would pick a random card (like a lottery), hunt down the person it belonged to, and they would murder them.
The End
>>17106287
Such a silly story, but it hit close to home. My dad does shit like that as often as possible. He even won a 60" 3Dtv awhile back.

I can't decide which is worse, the lame urban legend tale of OP's, or anon's low reading comprehension skills, almost non sequitur reply.
that's pretty spooky OP
