Okay guys, I'm in need. I need to know if anyone has seen anything like this in dreams or whatever. I've been having nightmares about these guys since I was a kid. The last dream I had was them standing in the middle of the road, and my car broke down. They pulled me from my car, said something I don't remember, then turned into an owl.
I cannot find anything online, and this is my last hope.
I drew this up as a rough draft of what they look like.
And yes, they have the general alien bodies, but are around 6-7(?) feet tall.
Sounds pretty similar to that movie The Fourth Kind.

two nights ago I had a dream that I met someone teaching a Kurt Vonnegut seminar. the man looked and sounded just like Vonnegut, but claimed to be someone else, merely a scholar. I tried to ask him questions about his novel Galapgos, but he refused to acknowledge the book. odd for a scholar.
anyway, since then I have been continually encountering Vonnegut in my real life. more than once I've googled something, only to see Kurt Vonnegut come up in the results. it happened twice just today, both results coming from unrelated search terms.
finally, I googled 'Vonnegut' to get an image for this thread and it turns out there's a Kurt Vonnegut memorial library literally 10 minutes from my apartment. should I go?

Every couple of months something bangs on my window or wall in the middle of the night. It's always abrupt and extremely loud with complete silence afterwards. I live alone. The creepiest one was about a year ago and the bang bang was on my closed bedroom door. It always happens when I'm asleep and it makes me literally jump out of bed.
I wouldn't worry about THAT, just go on back to sleep now. Don't go turning on the light now will you munchkin, say, it's getting cold isn't it? Maybe when you hear it its your brain saying get up and put a warm jumper from your closet on? If it makes the noise outside your wall, well maybe it's a loose but of rope or something! Wouldn't want that hanging down there, maybe you should go up and check it out, you never know what you may find. I'm sure it's just rope.

Hi Everybody,
It's been probably 1.5 years since I last posted. I still haven't started building the machine. I'm sorry, life is often unnecessarily confusing and complicated.
My passion is waning. I need to get my head right again, but I've fallen in to a groove of mediocrity which is threatening to escort me to the grave.
In case I fail, which seems likely at this point, I just wanted to update you on the process.
You begin with an accurate catalog of 3D Models. The one I'm taking classes to create will be marketed as a free 3D Encyclopedia. Next, you'll create a virtual replicate of Earth. This replicate does not need to be entirely accurate yet, merely focus on matching the atomically qualitative properties. (As a side note, this should be timed with the inevitable growth of quantum computing) Then, you'll simultaneously create a neural network and teach it physics with live feed from security cameras world wide.
You'll be basing the reward system for the network around accurate predictions of the future. When the machine is accurate enough to determine that the future is indeterminable, you can begin using it to work backwards using causality. Each particle produces ripples of influence as they interact with one another. Tracing these interactions will eventually allow you to recreate an accurate representation of the past. However, dwelling in this arena for long will create far too many conflicts.
Instead, trace the interactions off planet. When they arrive at an older, more advanced civilization, you'll then let the device rebuild this planet's timeline back to the present. Assuming this civilization has similar technology, they'll be waiting with messages for your machine to recreate.
You are now free to communicate with these beings.
Now, please debunk this train of thought so I can go raise a family instead of trying to make the world a more interesting place.
I'll check this periodically for the next few hours. If there are no responses I will, as I've done for a few years now, visit you again with another update in the future.
I thoroughly enjoyed this. There are some problems with it, but I think it's best if we reach those problems when they come rather than worry about them now. I don't want to taint the original intent of your idea. Rally the troops.

My dad tells me every single time that im going to visit him, he sees a ''light'' moving trought the house.
im seriously worried about my dad, he doesnt want to live in his house anymore.

I have A story. It spans roughly 5 months and follows a lot of exploration of the "truth", if you will. I suddenly went from hopeful skeptic to immediate believer when I got "slammed" with constant proof.
There is so much involved here in the exploration of "mind over matter". O have so many warning for you, just as I have as many urges to tell you to explore to your hearts content.

2008 was the year me and my mother living in New Zealand got a call from my grandmother who was living in Malaysia, she told us grandad is in hospital and has an aneurysm in his heart he was 83 and was a heavy smoker and drinker for a lot his life, a few days after hearing the news we flew over to Malaysia and stayed with my auntie her partner and kids at her house whilst visiting his bed side thought out the day. It had been2 weeks since me and my mum had been in Malaysia visiting him everyday. It was September 24 and a hot night, that night In my dream which felt very lucid I was able to get up out of my body and walk around, u remember feeling scared and was being chased by 3 female demons who were just coloured balls of light which doesn't sound bad but the emotions I got from them was something I could not explain when they had me cornered to my amazement an even brighter light shined from down the hall which cast the demons away to my amazement to my amazement that bright light was my grandad he spoke to me and said he came to say goodbye and told me to be a goodman and to look after the family before asking for sliced apples and oranges then disappearing, I suddenly woke up it was 5am and I was covered in sweat I looked over to the other couch where my mum was sleeping and see wasn't there the only person home was my uncle who had told me my grandfather had passed away and he had just taken my mum Aunty and grandmother to the hospital. I went and woke up my 3 younger cousins and uncle to us to the hospital, doctors say his artery had burst and time of death was estimated to be around 4:00am , upon seeing his body he had elicited the top half so he was sitting up and had his legs cross and hands one above another with thumbs touching as seen in the photo. I remember him teaching me about Buddhism and meditation when I was younger and telling me how it allows you to access a higher power.

The king was hesitant, but relented to the fool. He did nothing.
Over the next year, the kingdom flourished. Dry rivers ran blue with fresh water. Rain fell for the first time in many years. Mountains delivered bounties of fruits. People became rich, and the treasury had to be renovated to hold all the gold bullion.
The king one day asked the fool, "How did you know by waiting, we would prosper?"
The fool did not look at the king. "I didn't."
The king gasped. "What? You didn't know? You put my people at risk for a guess?"
The fool stared out the castle window. "If I was right, we would have lost no lives in war and save every coin we had."
The king reclined in his throne. "What if you were wrong?"
The fool looked at the king. "We would have all perished, and it wouldn't matter then."
The king did not know whether to hang the fool for his recklessness or praise him for his wisdom. But something else bothered the king.
"Why do anything at all, then?"
The fool smiled and walked away. "Why do you think I am a fool?"
