Worlds.com is a relic of the INTERNET from the late 90's and early 00's. It was the first 3D chat client - the predecessor to programs like Second Life and IMVU. While it was massively popular in its beginning, receiving sponsorships from Britney Spears, Coca Cola, David Bowie, and many others, it didn't last long. New 3D chats cropped up and technology advanced. Worlds quickly became outdated. However, a small group of dedicated regulars has kept the chat alive. Mostly.
What's left now is a large collection of interconnected and largely abandoned maps that range from mundane to eerie. There are a number of official worlds, but there is still a vast system of user-created worlds to explore as well.
So why is it on /x/? The labyrinth of largely abandoned and forgotten worlds has a distinctly creepy aura surrounding it, much like any other abandoned place would have. Plus, there are large number of worlds that are downright strange or unsettling simply for their subject matter: bright crimson hallways with people lined up in cages, a carnival of clowns with the backdrop of a blood red sky, a psychedelic trip through an LSD simulator. Your mileage may vary, of course, but there are a number of things worth a look. Give it a shot.

I've been doing third eye meditations for a while now. And for about 3 months I've been getting a tingling feeling in the center of my forehead. Now I'm starting to have strange dreams, and often jump up out of bed in the middle of the night after a dream. What's happening? And is this all somehow connected to my meditation sessions?

What happens when you die?

1. If your death is not instant, your brain releases a bunch of chemicals which alter your perception of reality. If you are in a survival situation, you will be flooded with testosterone to help you try and escape said survival situation.
2. Once your brain shuts down, you are considered to be dead.
When you are dead, you are dead. Your conscious is simply the "performance" that is "orchestrated" through the interactions of chemicals within your brain. If those chemicals stop interacting with one-another, you no longer have a conscious, and thus do not exist.
Think permanent sleep, only without dreams. Basically how it was before you were born.

Thinking of going to check out rolling hills asylum in the near future. It was once a place that housed the outcasts of society. Having over 1,700 documented deaths its said to be haunted and hosts ghost hunting sessions. Has anyone on /x/ ever been here or have stories on it?

Do any of you /x/philes think chi/ki/qi could be related to the plasma in our bodies? plasma can have high temperatures and is electric and from what ive seen and experienced chi has the same properties when a gas. what do you guys think? is chi/ki/qi just plasma that we are able to control?

Hello /x/, I have a question. Has anyone else had a similar experience with an entity resembling an ape saving your life? But this ape is a supernatural higher power of some sort and I believe it saved my life, from another more evil supernatural being.

I find the heavy box I keep locked- it must be safe, nothing is more important. As I unlock it, I smile, wider and wider, until it hurts my face. I like how that hurts.
I hold my breath, my smile so wide and bright it lights up the room, and lift the lid. I've had my treasure a while- it's scratched, and scuffed, and missing some parts, and isn't as shiny as it used to be, but it's still perfect.
My treasure turns to me. It's leaking, a little. "P-please, mister," it squeaks, "I want to go home."
Oh, dear. It's broken. I'll have to fix it again. "You ARE home, silly goose!"
