Hey /x/ I doubt this is truly paranormal but it is a bit odd. The other night I was sleeping and having relatively normal dreams. Then I was in my old High school. The transition was abrupt there because that's literally how abrupt it was in the dream. I just kind of appeared there. As I walked around my High school things started to kind of change into a darker atmosphere, there was blood everywhere, the walls were torn apart, it was all like something out of a movie. I don't really remember what happened next but the next that I do remember is me talking to an old teacher and getting really creeped out. I remember telling myself that it was a dream and I could just wake up but I couldn't do it. Again I don't remember what happened but for some reason I started sprinting away. Then I was in a empty room with my mom. Then cats appeared. A voice then told me that the only way to wake up was to kill a cat. I have three cats in real life, so I was kind of weary about killing one. In the dream my mom grabbed a cat and threw it in a washing machine that appeared out of no where. I remember hearing the cat scream and then seeing blood on the door of the machine. Then I woke up. Again I'm sorry about how abrupt the transitions are but Thats exactly how it happened in the dream. I can't get the dream out of my head. Is this normal? Pic related. It's two of my cats.

Anyone ever looked into the alarmingly frequent "cyber-crime" suicides?
I'm looking specifically at four right now:
1. Aaron Swartz - Co-founder of Reddit, killed himself January 11, 2013 after being indicted (bullied) by the feds for illegally downloading JSTOR articles.
2. Jonathan James - First American juvenile incarcerated for cyber-crime at age 16 after he stole software and user info from NASA and the DOD. Interesting however, is the fact that James didn't kill himself for another eight years, after police raided his home again looking for connections to a hack that targeted department chain TJX. Police recovered evidence that James was depressed and owned a firearm (which they left in his custody). The only data linking James to the TJX hack were the initials J.J., an alias used by a member of the group which hacked TJX. James shot himself on May 18, 2008, the note he left behind states he thought he was going to be prosecuted for crimes he had nothing to do with.
3. Ian Murdock - Died just a few weeks ago on Dec 28th, 2015. He had an altercation with police, apparently they raided his home for reasons which are not clear. Ian claimed in a tweet it was for "knowing on his neighbor's door" (probably an auto correct for knocking). Ian was beaten up by police and sent to the hospital. He was subsequently charged with assaulting the officer who had assaulted him. Ian posted on twitter that he was going to commit suicide on the morning of Dec 28th, but retracted this statement later in the day. Official details of his death have not been released.
4. Lance Moore - This one's a little difficult to piece together, as there's almost no info on Moore's death. I had to dig for hours to even come up with his last name. Allegedly, Moore was an AT&T contractor who uploaded a bunch of private files to fileape, which were then obtained and published by lolzsec. Lance died before his case went to trial, sometime in 2011.

Now, my theory isn't that the Feds were directly involved in these four deaths, but rather that they have gotten quite good at encouraging suicide in individuals who are problematic to the status quo.

In 2011, the Daily Telegraph published an article titled "Ernest Hemingway 'driven to suicide over FBI surveillance'".
Hemingway was believed to be a communist sympathizer and was under surveillance by the feds. His close friends thought he was being paranoid/losing his mind when he talked about being followed and claimed his home was being watched.
Turns out it was true. The government harassed Hemingway, who they knew to be mentally unstable, until he took his own life.
I mean, it seems like they're really good at this. REALLY good. Like, there's a psy-ops training manual floating around somewhere with the title "how to encourage suicide in troublesome individuals".
Considering the many people they were not able to harrass to death, they are not very good at it.
I think you should reconsider that they don't to it on purpose, but simply take it into account and don't care very much. People killing themselves because they are under surveillance is pretty common everywhere.
I was reading about dinosaurs on wikipedia and how they became extinct (k-pg boundary extinction) and all the sources I found are very vague. I guess most of us are told that a asteroid caused them to die, which sounds cool for a sci-fi plot but imagining white bearded professors to believe that is just plain stupid.
I must admit that I'm rather skeptic about macro evolution though.

So just kind of asking for what this is.
I'm home alone and there is like nothing in my house because we're moving and I'm playing on my phone and all of a sudden my cat starts freaking out and like looking everywhere and meowing and shut. I get a little freaked out and look up and from downstairs I see a black figure like kind of floating but it looked like a a very blurry person like blob. It moved away pretty fast when I looked at it but I thought I was seeing shut until my cat looked directly at where it was. Idk I feel like I'm just tripping out but just wondering if anyone has any ideas.

I think you're confusing real estate (a parcel of land) with legal estate (the will of the deceased). This is a sale of some dead person's stuff. It may or may not include the house. What if they were renting?

If you mean potentially haunted items, they'd be the most personal ones. The bed, any jewelry, framed mirrors. Those are going to be expensive or bulky or both. Best bet is to make a guess on the favorite chair. Typically they donate the clothing, otherwise that's a good prospect.
If you didn't know the deceased, it's a shot in the dark. There's no reason to suspect some random person is going to rest uneasy in the grave, just because he's dead.
So my advice is to bid on stuff you need. Estate sales are good for getting quality stuff with a lot of use left in it. If you could use furniture, bid on that (don't buy a chair you haven't sat in, be aware that old beds may not be standard mattress sizes). Kitchen stuff normally goes at very reasonable prices. Take a tape measure, don't exceed your budget, and don't expect to win everything you kind of want (you have to pick your battles).
Depending on the kind of estate sale, you can find a lot of relatively mundane items with occult uses. If it's the kind where the house is left more or less as is, and you're free to go in and buy whatever, you can often buy a big ol' box of candles for maybe a few bucks tops. Same with trinkets that might have use in some kind of altar. Old people love that shit, apparently.
I know I've found pretty groovy troves of paranormal books from the 70s, including some on meditation and astral projection, mixed in with a bunch of pulpy paperbacks.
I've also found half a set of zodiac mugs, black with gold foil, classy as hell.
Overall it depends on what you're looking for, OP. What are you into?
