Where do you guys get crystals? The local nature center here sells various ones, but there's gotta be a place online where you can get them pretty cheap in bulk. A couple of the ones here were dyed including the dalmatian and the lapis lazuli. I assume they were still those because I got all the dye off with acetone, but not sure.

Fire Mountain Gems deals in mostly beads and cabochons, but they have some tumbled stones. They're highly reputable about sourcing (if it's dyed or treated, they'll tell you), but you have to buy fifteen or more items at a time to get a decent pricing tier (a hundred to get the best), so there's that.
Basically, stones aren't both cheap and nice. For cheap, you get dyed stuff and low quality quartz points, the sort of junk you find at gift shops in tourist traps.
Go to your local magazine retailer, buy a copy of a jewelry craft magazine, and look at the ads.
So, I dont know how much this info might tickle you guys but I heard that the military has these gloves that can be put on a person and remotely doctor can perform surgery using special glasses. I also heard that gas and propulsion dont work in space but magnets are actually used. Also that theplanets are being harvested for new material and that is why 4 new elements have been discovered. You really didn't want to go on this trip.
You sit in the backseat, sulking and anxious. Your friends are having a fun time laughing about how creepy and dark it is while they navigate their way through the woods with their headlights on, not that it helps.
The whirling of the snow is like the wailing of a banshee.
Modern GPS is a savior, you hear them keep saying. Without it they would have been lost ages ago, and then they would've had to wait till morning in the car.
That doesn't make it feel any better.
They're not dumb. The gas tank is 3/4ths full and there's a gun in the trunk just in case. They weren't going to rush into the wilderness unprepared. Besides, they're not going to veer off the road or anything, and they can always backtrack.
The darkness is suffocating.
They start to quiet down. Something is wrong. The GPS says that you should be in the clear by now, there should be a town here, or at least the beginning's of one. Maybe the buildings are obscured by the darkness?
The car is silent.
A fatal mistake. A slip into a small ravine at the side of the road that was impossible to see. The car is angled slightly now, and doesn't budge, now matter how aggressively the steering wheel and gas are manipulated.
Curse words.
Your friends know this can be fixed. Everything's ok. The morning will bring less confusion anyway. But will the gas last that long? How should they know? You look out the window, trying to look up. There are no stars.
The car is humming.
Your friends decide they need to do something. They propose getting out of the car and pushing or dragging it out of the small ditch. It shouldn't be too hard. You really really don't want to join them, and they say that's ok. They get out of the car.
It's lonely now.
You look out the window again. Still nothing but darkness and the wailing snow. Shouldn't you have heard them doing something by now? A minute goes by, still nothing. There are no noises save the car and your own heartbeat.
You really shouldn't have gone on this trip.
You curl up. You knew. You knew this would happen. So then why did you allow it to? You shiver even though the car is still warm. Somehow you know, despite their previous reassurances, everything has already gone wrong. Something within you is compelling you not to go outside.
You're so exhausted.
You've been doing nothing but sitting, and yet you feel like you can't continue forward anymore. You need sleep. That'll do. It's a fitting way to end such an anxious day.
You close your eyes.
You dream. You dream of the day before the trip was even a proposition amongst your friends. You dream of a different set of weeks, and then further. Life is life, but at least you're not alone in a dying car in an empty world.
Just don't wake up.

I have some time to kill and I'm pretty lonely where I am right now. I was thinking about doing a short trip to get away from work (which I absolutely detest) and life in general.
Next thing I was thinking about was, where to? And what should I do when I go there? Maybe there are cool places, preferably in Germany or close by.
I'm open to suggestions on doing something x-related. Maybe someone of you has any tips about how I could decide for a place and what possibilities there are to do something exciting that get one's mind of the horrors of daily life.

My usual advice is a music festival. Sharing in an aesthetic with others is outright magical, assuming you aren't clinically depressed. All you can expect is a good time, and a bad one can still be fun.
