Why was the cat thread derailed so quickly and then just shut down? What was wrong? Some of us (outside of the derailers) where attempting to have a conversation and it seems crappy that the thread was taken down because of some crap apples.

Does anyone have the story that an Australian /x/phile told on here about a year and a half ago? It was about him moving to the countryside for an experiment and being tormented by an evil spirit. It involves a white face that attacks him, some vines that move like snakes, bad barnacles that grew everywhere, and an old man living in the swamp that ripped his dog's jaw off in front of him. It was horribly capitalized and punctuated, and it was long, but it was an incredible read. I don't know why I didn't save it myself. Thanks!

I'm not going to be watching this thread past a few minutes, but I just wanted to say this:
A good bit ago, I browsed /x/ pretty frequently. 2010/2011 ish. Have always been interested in the supernatural or what is beyond here.
I really can't go into that much detail, mainly because I am only now discovering it myself, but to everyone who longs for much more in life (spiritually): it exists.
There is a true occult, metaphysical, and much more beyond that. I know that when I was on /x/ I would always be searching for something like that, and that's what I've spent a lot of free time doing (searching and fantasizing, usually followed by depression)..
But yeah, it's all real (for the most part), and many concepts are trumped by other concepts, and many concepts are far from conceptual.
Anyway, all you need to do is focus your mind on discovery of the unknown and just live. Someone will get the message eventually (hopefully you).
Anyway, I'm no master, but they exist, and there is so much to be realized and found. I always had in the back of my mind that if I ever began to see more of what was there, I'd parrot it here. But really, this is just a message for anyone searching: Don't give up. It's there. Accept that it is there and you will find it.
Wish someone had told me that -- but for all I know, someone did and I was too up my own ass to see!

i don't go searching, but just wonder in terms of growth or personal meaning. i'll never place my focus on occult but i've had experiences growing up in a house with spirits of past family members. what's meaningful to me is when current family dies and i can communicate with them in ways on occasion after they pass over

It is verifiable that secret societies exist, they network and associate in swarming cities. The people attracted to such societies, whether they be mystical or satanist, must share special tastes or idiosyncrasies that outsiders do not have. They can even look down on those outsiders as the 'profane', 'the dead' or 'drones'. The in group vs out group mentality.
If such groups engage in ritualistic sex; and some do, then SRA or something indistinguishable becomes a matter of time. It is experimental behaviour after all, and so a slippery slope to pushing boundaries. Just look at what TOPY was doing. Performance art or ritualistic abuse?

It seems like the clock as gone back 10 minutes several times today. For an example, it will be 2:00, and when I look back the clock it will be 1:50.

If you really think that it is happening then..
Double check time regularly and check for anything wrong, write down time if you want too and compare it.
Make sure that no one has messed around with the clock or if its 2 different clocks, if its just an alarm or etc.

Can someone explain the Ego to me and why new aged types are so obsessed with killing it?
From what I understand. there's nothing inherently bad about the ego at all and it's part of our role to see ourselves as at least partially individualistic. I think that falling to some of the normal human tendencies creates a more interesting life and world, with the death of the ego making life boring. I have a few questions.
