Where do you guys get crystals? The local nature center here sells various ones, but there's gotta be a place online where you can get them pretty cheap in bulk. A couple of the ones here were dyed including the dalmatian and the lapis lazuli. I assume they were still those because I got all the dye off with acetone, but not sure.

Fire Mountain Gems deals in mostly beads and cabochons, but they have some tumbled stones. They're highly reputable about sourcing (if it's dyed or treated, they'll tell you), but you have to buy fifteen or more items at a time to get a decent pricing tier (a hundred to get the best), so there's that.
Basically, stones aren't both cheap and nice. For cheap, you get dyed stuff and low quality quartz points, the sort of junk you find at gift shops in tourist traps.
Go to your local magazine retailer, buy a copy of a jewelry craft magazine, and look at the ads.
